I live walking distance to Spice and since they opened I've been telling myself have to go and try it! Welp This was our first visit why it took us so long to try is really beyond me đ we went a little on the later side around 9pm wasn't to busy but that's because there were things going on in town and town over. I prefer not to busy because you get a feel for the place, and it's a little more intimate not hearing everyone's conversations bouncing off the walls. There is also option to eat outside which was nice, but we sat inside at the bar. We both got drinks my Hubby got a martini I cannot rememeber the name it had coconut in it,I had the Mango madras SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOOD! They didn't skimp on anything even the alcohol which I've noticed most places tend to do. For food we started off with the vegetable samosas they were very delicious the sauces that come with it I have no idea what they are one was definitely cilantro, all these flavors together was insane each sauce brought a different, very balanced yet enhanced flavor to the samosas I was blown away! Then we got Chicken Vindaloo, Chicken Tikka Masala, garlic Naan, and cheese Naan. If your not good with spice pay attention to the flame markers on some of the dishes haha the chicken vindaloo had 2 flame. We love spicy so it wasn't a problem for us. It was BEAUTIFULY made,so delicious, the chicken was so tender, the sauce spicy, bright red, creamy, hint of sweetness and a whole lot of tastiness! The chicken Tikka masala I couldn't stop the sauce so creamy, sweet, all the flavors just works beyond anything I have ever tasted in my life! The Naan don't even get me started đ€Ł if you're even thinking about trying this place don't doubt it and GOOOO you won't regret it! We are definitely going back and determined to try everything on their menu. I also thought it was awesome that the chef came out to speak to us!!! I wish I could have put into better words how delicious the food was but all I could muster was oooh its so delicious. I hope that they continue to thrive, and make delicious food! Being able to try other cultures ways, and foods is an awesome thing. You'll taste things you've never have, flavors you never...
Read moreFabulous Indian restaurant! Been to this restaurant a few times, decided to finally leave my thoughts⊠(Unfortunately due to arriving at the spot with a ferocious appetite, we didnât get pics of the main course dishes) The vegetable fritters app and the Boti kebab app (on the temporary specialty menu) were both amazeballs!! Also ordered the mulligatawny soup, although just slightly on the salty side, it was totally delicious! (Just trying to be honest) The Rogan Josh was excellent, and so was my ânew favorite!!â called the Balti Gosht (lamb), it was so scrummy and wonderfully spicy, the kind of spicy the doesnât completely annihilate your tongue but leaves your scalp sweaty from the heat, yes it was perfect!! Additionally we ordered Garlic Naan and Cheese Naan, they were crispy, flavorful and fresh, amazing even in its simplicity!! The atmosphere is very welcoming and warm, I like that they hang curtains at the entrance, so that when other customers go in and out, it prevents any wind gusts from destroying the vibe. Very thoughtful IMO. And to close this reflection, the service there is top notch (and is always that way, again Iâve been a customer here a few times). They are always concerned that our dining experience is good, which is why this place is...
Read moreUpdate: Post-pandemic, I've gotten the lunch box special from Spice, and it is a phenomenal deal. Highly recommend trying that, if you are getting takeout.
Ate at Spice for dinner just after they opened with my wife. The restaurant is in a nice space, and they have a separate bar area. We split the malai kofta, some vegetable fritters, and chili naan. The fritters were great, and very fresh - I particularly enjoyed the greenish one which I think was zucchini. The malai kofta was also good over rice. The highlight for me was actually the chili naan. I hadn't had a similar style elsewhere and it was very good. Spicy, but in a way that creeps up on you rather than hitting all at once.
We also got two mango lassis; oddly, the first one had ice and the second did not. Definitely preferred the second (more lassi to drink!), but both were very good. The only other thing that was a bit off was the spacing of the tables, which was a little uneven and tight in some areas.
Overall, it was a great dinner, and I look forward to going back, and trying their lunch buffet. Although we didn't get other drinks, some of the mixed drinks we saw at other tables looked quite good, and the bar area could be a nice spot for...
