Friendly Food Mart — Local services in Bethlehem Township

I’ve been going here for years and I’m finally done. I come in several nights a week in the evening and 9 out of ten times get an attitude. The older owner and I’m assuming his wife are always very nice. That being said the younger, I’m gathering son, never even says hello during a transaction. The older Caucasian woman that works several nights is the same, very rude often never saying anything. Today was my last visit to the store due to an issue with the “son”. I came up to the register, he scanned my drinks without a word. I paid cash and was given paper money back but no coins. I realize it was only a few pennies but it not even being offered was cherry on top with the rude service over the past years. A little background on me, this is the first comment, let alone negative comment I’ve ever left on a business. That should tell you how bad the service is here. I would rather drive farther to Weis or Redners where the attitude and environment is...

Karen was very discriminating against me. I felt uncomfortable because I used my passport to show my age. She gave an attitude and asked me if I was illegal. She even turned to another employee and told her that I was using my passport. I was even being friendly with them and they were giving me faces. She has no right to ask my legal status when that is not a requirement to buy something. I am legal and have lived here in the states.
