Bar-Don Lanes — Restaurant in Palmer Township

Very rude towards children in the bowling and arcade part of this establishment - complete opposite of when I went there as a kid. First, My niece takes a size 4 1/2 shoe. The 4 1/2 she tried on was too tight so she asked for a size bigger. He says she ought to know her own shoe size as he angrily goes to look. Then as we were about half way through their first game, one of the pins was still laying down so my niece runs up to tell the guy (since it's not a reset occasion). I could hear him from the lane saying oh it looks fine from here... He finally does come down to look and says oh ok, but it's not going to hurt anything. You could've just bowled. Well, sorry for making you work. Finally... My poor niece because once again it happened to her. She dumped $10 into the "Stacker" game. Without 3 or 4 credits left, it starts to malfunction. It did not give her her prize and then game itself was starting to act buggy or something - lights not working, making sounds at improper time, etc. So she goes back up to the desk and the guy at first tried to ignore her but then just looks at her and says Call the company, turns around and walks away. Do you know how hard it is to refrain from punching somebody because you don't want the kids to see that kind of behavior?! I know I won't be taking anyone there again. To me, that was like the 1st, 2nd...

Staff was so helpful. Wings from the connected bar were good and the bartender was very accommodating. We had a party of about 15 and everyone wanted food. They had a Jukebox... kids loved that. The kids and family had a great time. Reasonable prices. Only downfall is We had to be out by 4pm. (It was a Sunday) for the league stuff. They are serious about their leagues. If you want to go here, I'd suggest calling ahead because when they have league stuff going on, they aren't open to the public. Oh... and another downfall... if you want to have a kids party here, the tiny party room is located right outside the womens bathroom. I had to walk through that party room while their was a party going on to use the bathroom. I could barely get through and I felt like I was...

My son went with a few friends tonight. He came home furious. He accused my son of playing 2 games and only paying one. My son payed for two. The employee shut down lane and screamed across lanes that no one could play until he payed for another game. He completely embarrassed my son and intentionally humiliated him. My son wasn't worried about the $6 that he had to pay twice. It was the callous and inappropriate way the employee treated my son. He has sworn to never go back. I don't blame him. I would suggest that anyone who goes to that place demands all receipts and hold on to them. If you are a parent, prepare your kids for potential harassment from the employees if you don't stay to monitor...
