Millennia — Local services in Palmer Township

I walked toward Millennia Salon earlier today and frankly, I was feeling pretty poorly. I’m a few weeks into chemo. I’d lost almost all my hair, but had scraggly remnants of what used to be my trademark curls. I was dressed in sweats because procedures done to my body make almost all clothing uncomfortable. You get the picture. I was just hoping to buy a couple of head coverings and get out before anyone judged me too terribly. What I was met with was open arms, helpful advice, lovely products to choose from, encouragement, TLC. I just had my wig consult with Rena and it was not at all what I was expecting. As a new chemotherapy recipient- the clock is ticking on my hair falling out and I was already an emotional wreck after having cut my hair shorter earlier this week. I was very nervous about coming in for this wig consult. I just didn’t know how I would look in a wig or how it would make me feel. Rena really took the time to help me find the right length and color and was so so patient with me. It was time that I needed to adapt to the idea of - not only losing my hair- but wearing this wig! From checkin to checkout, this experience is spectacular. Ashley is a talented, kind, thoughtful stylist. I look forward to my visits every time. I always leave feeling confident and cared for. I can trust that Ashley is paying attention to the details and consistently gives good advice. The entire salon functions as a tight family unit.
