Tangles Salon and Spa — Local services in Palmer Township

I am from California and I come to Phillipsburg for Xmas to spend time with my husbands family. My mother in law had never had a pedicure so one year a few years back I take her to a place here in Phillipsburg. Well after a few visits mom was diagnosed with cancer again for the second time on her life. During a visit I took her to get a pedi, the place ended up giving her an infection and it took a year to clear up her toes.

After all that she didn't want to go back. I found Tangles on the web and called and made an appointment. We both had a mani pedi.

When you walk in you are welcomed warmly, offered to have your coat taken and escorted upstairs. My mother in law had Lauren. We had a pleasant experience. I went to pay and my tab was $164 for both our manicure pedicures. Mom did get gel on her hands. I didn't get any polish. I could not believe the price. This was my fault for not asking prior to the appointment.

When we got home and took off the shoes, mom's socks had stuck to both big toes. Now, while I was paying mom had asked Lauren if she she stay under the dryer longer and Lauren reassured her she was good to go. I called and the receptionist was very friendly and said yes come back tomorrow and Lauren will fix.

Second visit not as warm as the first. No offer to take the coat, Lauren fixed the toes but then left us in the room, another person came in and said she was going to escort us out, I told her I didn't want to come back a third time and she said fine. But we definitely didn't feel welcomed as the first visit. Well we get home and guess what toes are stuck to the socks. I had to fix them myself. I did call and hope to speak to someone, the polish was way to thick. My toes were fine. Apparently Lauren had used two colors and plenty of top coat which is just was to think.

Well nobody bothered to call me back. But the $164 charge did go through.

I can not recommend this place, it is very expensive and customer service is amazing until the mistake then we were definitely not taken care of.

Its so sad that mom was taken care of this way after suffering throufh chemo, then the infection from the other salon and then I convince her to go and she is...

Ok. This a review. For this salon I didn’t want to do this but I feel very uncomfortable because they did a really bad job with my hair. And they didn’t take a responsibility for what they did. It really was a bad job. Second point is when I talked with the manager she was very rude and there was a lot of people. And I felt embarrassed a horrible experience damaged not only my hair but my entire week, the salon is supposedly very prestigious but the reality is that it does not take responsibility for the hairdressers' work, and they did a very bad job and the salon did not I was responsible for having damaged my hair and the only way they found to solve the problem was that I would pay again when I expressed my dissatisfaction they do not know how to deal with a client who is not happy with their job they humiliated me by calling the police just for that expresses my unhappiness. I finally got the cut and color I was looking for! Everyone at Tangles is very friendly and professional. The girls here really know what they are doing. I was very comfortable and felt that they really treasure each and every customer who walks in the door. I could tell the owner's number one priority is her customers. She pays attention to detail and ensures that every customer leaves happy. Her staff is well trained, talented, and high-end qualified. My stylist was Jessica and she is amazing with hair! She is very gifted, knows her stuff, and totally transformed my hair! I went from bleach blonde to a beautiful natural blonde with beautiful warm tones throughout. She did a fantastic job on my cut as well. All my family and friends LOVED it. I'm VERY picky when it comes to my hair and I left 110% satisfied.
