Nice store, but rather disorganized at the cash wrap this busy Christmas time of the year. It was obvious there were too many employees hovering around without clearly defined roles to help smooth the customer experience
My wife saw a Christmas tree brooch she liked at the counter while we waited in line to buy our other selected item, a candle. The brooch was not on a backing card or in a box, and was the only one like it in the container, so we didnât know how much it cost (nor did we really care ⊠just name a price). Instead of setting a price, excuses were made about someone else looking at the brooch earlier and it not being put back on its card; none of which were associated with us and got us no closer to determining a price.
So, we bought our candle and had to leave the store without the brooch. There was a line of other customers behind us, so didnât want to push the topic, but I am very disappointed we were not able to buy the item my wife liked. We try to support small businesses, but if theyâre not interested in being ready for a sale, then there is little more we can do to help.
Rebuttal to owner.
I never said you lied, so think you missed the point I was making (that the cash wrap portion of your store was disorganized and seemed angry and rushed). But, I do appreciate you letting us know we are not part of the customer set you seem focused on appeasing. Perhaps you just thought we didnât spend enough to be worth...
Read moreWent in there to buy a Christmas ornament and there were boxes everywhere on the counter so I wasn't sure where the register was. I asked a woman at the counter where the register is and she had a major attitude problem.
She was kind of reprimanding me that there was no cash register where I was pointing to. I said I really couldn't see because there were boxes on the counter.
She was annoyed and said she would move her boxes out of my way and I said she didn't have to as I handed the cashier the ornament. Then she huffed and stormed off So I went to I put the ornament back and she snatched it out of my hand and said loudly BYE! and I said you have kind of an attitude problem and she said "YEAH I DO!"
I left the store as she's yelling at me the whole time and I went back in and said all I asked was where the register was I don't understand what your problem is at which point she followed me out into the street and got right in my face pointing and shouting at me where my husband had to get in the middle and tell her to get back into her store.
There is something really mentally off with this woman. We almost called the police. She caused a whole scene on the sidewalk screaming and yelling All because I simply asked which way I go to ring up my item.

Read moreStopped in for first time yesterday and seen some really nice vintage art glass pieces, one being a vaseline perfume that was not priced. As I walked the store made my way to the front counter to ask the women behind the counter the price and she abruptly and rudely cut me off pointing to her assistant stating she would be able to help me. Ask the assistant for price which she then had to pull out and then go ask the same women about the peice as she was apparently the owner. This seemed to annoy the women further as she then eyed me up and down, judging that I didn't look like money. Fun enough she had time to turn to the older couple, must have looked like they had money to her, and was helping them pull pieces from the display. So I guess if you look like you have money and don't mind over paying for cheaply made imported Christmas items this place is for you!
As a note to shop owner, don't judge a book by its cover, I am a glass dealer and have over 350 pieces at home... Your prices on most of your vintage pieces are far over priced and the regular shop items are nothing more than over priced department store nic-naks...
Hopefully you don't mind people judging you as...
