I usually do my Asian food shopping at bigger stores in ST. Paul or Brooklyn Park but I needed an item that I didn't want to drive too far for. I've heard about this place a while back but just never went until yesterday.

When I walked in there was no one in site. Started walking around and saw a guy replenishing the shelf. I assumed he worked there but didn't get a "hello" or any other acknowledgement. Saw a lady at the fridge section also replenishing veggies. When she was done ans as she was walking towards me she nodded and said hi.

The veggies were not the freshest as I could already tell by the limpness of the stalks. It does have a small deli section with some sweet treats. Even though the store is quite small I believe it has all the essential you would need if you didn't want to drive too far. There's plenty of parking and it serves the people of the area.

The owners should attempt to be a bit friendlier and acknowledge their customers though. That would make me a repeat customer. As for now, I'm not sure if I'll return. Maybe if there's an emergency...

Soooo happy to have a new Asian maket nearby! Extensive selection and variety. If you need those hard to find ingredients, you'll likely find them here. Even have XO sauce here! Very hard to find elsewhere. Little spendy however, it's a very exotic, one of a kind flavor. The peeled garlic makes making oven roasted garlic paste sooooo much easier! Plus, they have a fresh made section with delicious Bahn Mi and eggrolls. I do a great deal of Asian cooking and am very happy to welcome them to our neighborhood. Even found our favorite kimchi I haven't been able to find in years. Highly fermented and garlicky with just enough heat! Impressive amount of variety. Lots of meats and seafood too. Love the large variety of fresh mushrooms. Granted, you could find a similar selection at Dragon Star. However, you would spend all day getting in out of that zoo! The 109 Oriental Market is absolutely fantastic!

They carry such a wide variety of items and always have everything I need. I love cooking a variety of foods and Asian/Oriental dishes are at the top of my list.

Their fresh noodles are simply phenomenal. They make egg rolls and a variety of other foods daily. The egg rolls are the best I've had. Great taste and a wonderful crunchy bite.

I go to this store once every couple of months, sometimes more. The staff is great! They are friendly, helpful and professional and they take time to answer any questions I may have as well as assist me in finding something in the store that I can't locate.

All around a must go to store for fresh items as well as sauces, noodles, even seafood, meats and more.
