ALDI — Local services in Blaine

I love all Aldi's. This must be one of the newer stores because there's so much room in the aisles. I love that.

As other reviewers have said the produce does spoil pretty quickly so use it fast, or just buy what you need right away. It's nice if you live near one. If I did I'd go every other day to keep fresh in the house. The prices are just SO much better than anywhere else.

If you're in the market for dry goods, you're in luck. I can't remember the last time I went to a local grocery store and got a can of anything for $.40 but you can here. Their dried goods are 30-50% off retail brands so as you can imagine, the savings add up quickly.

Also their frozen section - we make lots of smoothies and like to use frozen fruit. Here the prices are phenomenal. At Target, a bag of fruit runs from $6-10. At Aldi the most expensive mix is like $5. And it's a big bag comparatively.

This is just a small sampling of products they sell but Aldi brands are just as good as, if not better, than your traditional name brands. Seriously, your family would never know and your wallet...

Sometimes it's hard to buy veggies in small amounts due to mega packaging, but the fruit has usually better choices. I wanted to buy the Mama Cozzi's pizza crust 2 pack, but they don't sell it anymore. If they just got rid of the pizza sauce packets that came with it ( they weren't spicy enough) and focus on the crust only I'm sure they would have sold better. Tried to find baking chocolate but could only find cocoa powder. They do have a good selection of chocolates, and breads, breakfast items, dairy and meats also. Aldi is ALWAYS full of delightful, inexpensive surprises, as well as the stand-by items we count on for keeping our pantries properly stocked! And, while certain products are offered at 99% of the locations, there are also enough unique offerings at limited locations to encourage one to try different locations, more often than you would even consider at some of the bigger brand "superstores," EVERY TIME you need to pick up an item or two from Aldi!!
