Perkins American Food Co. — Restaurant in Blaine

Terrible mother's day experience, go in yes it is busy 11 am on a Sunday, no problem, 35 min wait to get a table (decent for amount of people) get Sat ( have baby) sits us in the next to table that had table pulled up to accommodate their party size, bad spot for someone with a baby, but only few other tables (open/clean) understandable. No issue. Another 10 for drinks no issue as the rush is starting to leave (getting checks finishing up tables) no issue. Order drinks, another 10 to get the drinks, dropped off and order took. Notice cup is cracked and water leaking all over table, but server no where in sight. Wouldn't of been issue but no napkins/ silverware to wipe it up. Get bussers attention fixes issue right away. Awesome! Cup gone no more leaking but nothing to wipe up. 30 mins go by ( restaurant starting to clear out) get the food, no hash browns, and half of the fries "weren't ready" the ones that they did serve (old,cold and greasy) yum! Not. Specifically asked for side of ranch and was told oh it comes with. Great no confusion ranch will come with! ( No silverware come with meal have to take from another table) Club sandwich hard cold toast soggy undercooked bacon and cold hard chicken tenders. 5-10 mins later, Server comes back with silverware and we said still waiting for the Fry's and hash browns to come. Oh my goodness no one brought you those yet? Nope still waiting, and I need ranch please, comes back few mins later with fresh fries I give them that this time. Hash browns which girlfriend ordered tossed on the grill for maybe a minute on one side then thrown in the plate greasy and raw hard potatoes underneath partial crisp on the top.( And my ranch woo!) At this point almost 3 hours into arriving appetite is completely gone, ate few of the "fresh fries" and half the club, ask for a manager because at this point both were very unsatisfied, as the server did not stop back, after waiting for the manager, she comes and takes the food and disappears to the front counter, 2 other employees next to manager and no customers, manager being next to cashier that checked us out, no acknowledgement or sorry or anything after complaining to her about the experi ence at the register.( No eye contact staring down and at other employees) Just tried to play it off as I wasn't a paying customer and voicing my opinion on the experience.( Got pissed and starting swearing) Got told have a blessed day! Finally one good outcome to come out of this! 😁 Bad experience especially on...

My boyfriend and I stopped here last Friday morning very early for breakfast. It was still pretty empty, since it was so early, and was nice and quiet. The waitress was really nice and checked on us often. Both of us got an omelet, with potatoes, and pancakes. Everything tasted like we remembered Perkins tasting when we were younger so we were very happy. We have been to the Forest Lake one and were disappointed in the past, but this location was good!

The only negative I would really say is that it cost $40 some dollars for 2 breakfasts and coffee/orange juice, and that's not including a tip for the waitress. Not necessarily the location's fault, as I'm sure they have to go with what the company wants for pricing. But still an outrageous price for breakfast food even with inflation the last few years! Not like Perkin's in general is a high end place to begin with to be charging such prices.

So if you're wanting a good breakfast this location had good food and nice staff, just be prepared to pay quite a bit for more for things you could make much cheaper at home. Good for if you're feeling lazy and/or tired but don't want to go through the trouble of making breakfast...

The hosts and the waitress were really really nice. But they didn't tell me that it was kids eat free night. there was no signage to let me know that it was kids eat free tonight either I think that you should make it more clear to customers . I was there with my son and we ordered off of the kids menu exactly 1 2 and 3 like it said. So he got pancakes fruit and french fries it said pick 1 pick 2 pick a drink pick a dessert. Well they neglected to tell me that the kids meal doesn't include all of the things that are on their menu your kids are going to eat free and you're going to give them a kids menu why would you not tell the people that all the food on the menu is not included. So I got the one egg two pancakes two pieces of bacon Meal which was 499 and a beverage which I think was 299 so my bill should have been around $10 if kids eat free but my bill was over $15. Also I went to grab a booster for my son and they were disgusting they were covered in dirty finger hand prints with crumbs in them not hygienic at all could you please wipe down your booster seats I understand kids are messy it's just one small step that we parents go through every single day...
