I purchased a skegox and to say it is absolutely beautiful is an understatement! While photos online show it off well, they still don't do it justice. I was in awe once I got it out of the packaging and saw it. The amount of detail and craftsmanship is beyond impressive. I had been looking for a skegox that was different than any others out there and this is certainly what I found when I discovered ancientsmithy. The end result is exactly what I wanted and it is a beautiful showpiece!! Also, the customer service is excellent and they are very quick to respond to any inquiries. I reside in the U.S. and they are in the Ukraine. From time of purchase to receiving, it was approximately 5-6 weeks. This thing is sick! I read all the reviews before purchasing. AncientSmithy did not disappoint. The shipment came in a reasonable amount of time, considering that this is a custom piece. My Norwegian family name was beautifully inscribed on it, and it looks great. The quality, weight, and the size is exactly what I was hoping for. Even though I wouldn't risk damaging it. This thing is definitely robust enough to chop with. Additionally, the woodworking is so good, that I almost couldn't tell where the top wedge was inserted to secure the ax head onto the handle.
