Casey's Garden Shop and Florist — Local services in Bloomington

Horrible experience. I called days in advance to custom order a lei made out of daisy flowers for my girlfriend, and they said they could do it, it would just cost a little extra in labor. I get there and this is what they hand me. A lei (really a wreath) with a few flowers on it. Clearly displeased, I asked them if that could really be worn as a lei (even though it clearly couldn't be) and the florist puts it on and says yes, and then apologizes and says "sorry, we really can't make leis here". (This is after I spoke to the florist days ago on the phone, and they assured me they could.) And then the florist hands it to me, and goes about her day, even though she could clearly tell I was displeased with the final product. I then spent over half an hour picking out flowers for a bouquet with the florist, so that I could give my girlfriend something presentable for her graduation ceremony. As a result of this ordeal, I was almost late to the graduation ceremony. I contacted the management at Casey's to express my negative experience there, and all they could say is that the flowers in the bouquet I spent over half an hour picking out with the florist (because the florist clearly did not care about the embarrassing result of the final product they gave me in the first place) were worth more than the $60.00 I paid originally to have the embarrassing excuse for a lei custom made by them. Needless to say, this whole ordeal was a complete waste of my time and energy, and I should have just taken my business somewhere else. I have visited Casey's a couple times in the past, but I can promise I WILL NOT be back in the future, and I would 10/10 NOT RECOMMEND this floral...

A family owned florist & garden shop that is the best. I can explain to a florist what I would like & it is created. Ask a garden question & assistance is at your elbow. Need an accessory or decorative item that is unique, it is there. A very special place to shop for garden & floral.

It once was the best. That was 4 years ago. Today I have to edit my comment. Yesterday I received a bouquet which I am sure was expensive. This morning it is dropping petals. The contents are not fresh. The design quality is rather non existent with items just stuck into a ceramic pot. The roses are nearly spent. And to think someone cared enough to send flowers from the British Isles, no matter if it was across town, one would think the new owners would care & send out the door their very best. Casey's is THE BEST. I called them this morning because I identified a mealy bug infestation and was SO overwhelmed by all the things Google was throwing at me. They took the time to answer all of my questions thoroughly and gave me very precise instructions on how to take care of the issue.

On top of their incredible customer service, they carry a VAST variety of seasonal plants, house plants, succulents and ALL of the accessories. There has literally never been a plant-related item that I wanted that they didn't carry. Their merchandise is priced fairly and their plants are healthy and have always thrived for me.
