There is this woman that works there. Well, I THINK she's a woman anyway, but I digress. Anyway, I went in there to take a loan on my 22 kt yellow gold bangle bracelet that my mother-in-law bought me all the way from India, which was actually worth about $800 or more US, she tried to make me feel as if my bracelet was worth next to nothing, and something about how the gold prices were low right now, and she just kept calling me 'hun' and 'honey' and 'sweety' as if she knows me when she does not. It really irked my last nerve. Because I needed the money at that time, I just tried to ignore her and get the money, but she didn't hesitate to tell me that if I didn't come on time to pay off the loan, she had no problem melting down my bracelet.
To make a long story short, the customer service and manners of this 'woman' sucked, and I would NEVER EVER go there again. Totally unprofessional sheisters and con artists, they are. If I owned that place, I would have fired her for treating a customer in such a way. Go anywhere else BUT...

It is totally fine if they did not want to purchase it that is not the issue. A simple I’m sorry I don’t think we would be interested in this would of done. Especially in front of our 4 year old daughter, have a little respect for people. We have had good experiences here in the past as well but after this. I am sure we will not...

For those that don’t know it’s right around an ounce of gold. I was offered $600 by a woman I had seen working there regularly. Being that the price of gold was somewhere around $1400 and the coin could simply be melted down for over double the offer, I knew I would be taken advantage of and declined. Right after that I brought it to the other monster pawn location in Normal, just out of curiosity, expecting another lowball offer and to my surprise I was offered $1200 with no questions asked. Steer clear of the monster pawn in Bloomington/Normal. It’s obvious they like to take advantage of...
