āCrookā isnāt the exact word Iād use, but I canāt say honest, either. I went in just to check it out- got the usual salesman pitch and flyer. Returned with some 1850s coins, a WWII family heirloom and a 1/10 oz of gold (uncirculated and in plastic thing it came in from NGC). The gold coin was absolutely legit but the guy ādidnāt like the colorā and said he didnāt know anything about the bayonet (bought it from me anyway) though WWII/war relicts was listed on the flyer and the guy said heās been doing this 52 years and hasnāt yet lost a deal- if youāve been doing this THAT long, you should be a subject matter expert and if something is of whatās specifically listed on āwhat weāre looking forā, surely you must know SOMETHING about it. 4 coins, certified gold, and WWII relic- I got $75. I was absolutely, 100% taken advantage of. Was I an easy target? Sure, but just like taking your car into a garage for an unknown issue, we trust in the honesty and integrity of those subject matter experts- especially if weāre not 100% what the issue is or what we have (as it relates to getting things appraised). Did I have to sell my stuff and take less than $100? Also no, but when I initially went in he said, āwhen can you bring something in for meā..? I picked a day I knew I wasnāt working that I could maybe swing back in- before I got there the guy calls my cell phone and asks if Iām coming, when Iām coming and what Iām bringing him. I felt obligated and uncomfortable but Iād also said I would be in and always keep my word. I guess I (we) am (are) just at the mercy of those who DONāT keep theirs or regard honesty as less important than everyone else does (or should). I am certainly never...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWent in to see what guitars they had because I was looking for a left-handed electric. When there were none there, Steve said I could put a $100 deposit down and he'd order a left handed electric and he said when it came in, he'd let me try it and if I didn't like it I could get my deposit back. When the guitar came in, I came in and he gave me a paper and told me to sign it. I asked what I was signing and he said it was just to prove i picked it up. I asked if I could try it like he said I could because I wasn't buying a guitar I wasn't entirely sure I wanted, and he seemed reluctant and tried to push it off saying it was brand new until I said if I don't try it I won't buy it. Anyways he finally let me try it out and needless to say it was a crap guitar and I could find better for cheaper online. When I told him I wasn't buying and wanted my deposit back, he said that's not how he does business and completely denied ever saying I could get it back as he told me the week before. He then complained about how he could no longer sell it as brand new and tried to offer it for a lower price, to which I declined and stormed out. The worst part about it too is that he was selling the guitar for 250 what it was only 180 online. Now I'm down $100 and I'm never going there ever again. If you do go there read everything on the papers before signing and always ask what you are signing. He's a con man, and a good...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOnly ever was here once, I'd say it was a decent experience. I play my fair share of video games and I heard that these guys had a lot, and I mean it when I say that there were WALLS of used video games to choose from! They ranged from older consoles like the GameCube to newer consoles like Xbox one. (NOTE: This was before the pandemic, so it was still considered pretty new) At the time, I only owned older consoles, so finding games for them at GameStop and other game stores was difficult, but I found some nice things here. They have a wide variety of stuff for cheap, which is cool. I never actually bought anything besides the games, so I can't really say much about the quality of any of the store's other items, but if you're looking for games, I'd say this is a good place to go. Yeah, the place looks shady, and it honestly is a little bit, but they did have return instructions for if the games didn't work. I know that people in the reviews were saying that their items were damaged and such, but it's a store for used things, so that's kinda expected. Heck, I've even had used games from GameStop not work, so this ain't too bad. Only real complaint was that the guy at the counter was a bit pushy in terms of trying to get me to buy things. Other than that it was pretty alright. I'd say it's a nice place to buy used video games cuz there's a ton of em and the prices are...
