Do not purchase from Boaz Discount Furniture.
My husband and I have spent thousands of dollars with Boaz Discount. We have never had an issue. We praised their customer service and quality to my grandmother so she decided to purchase from them. We took specific measurements in and she ordered a custom couch. We questioned the measurements because they looked like they were a little too big. The taller gentleman assured us that this would NOT be an issue as their measurements run big and it would fit no problem. It took her two months to received her furniture after she was given the run around and a different story every time she called for an update. When the couch was delivered, the delivery drivers knew she did not like the couch. She stated to them this was not what she ordered. She had to sign paperwork before they left. She called the store and let them know this was not what she ordered. The gentleman that assured her it would fit, went back and said there was nothing he could do as āthey donāt sell that furniture in their storeā. He had no problem getting that sale on January 18th. My husband went up there to try to get this resolved for her. The gentleman shook my husbandās hand and was kind until he found out why my husband was there. He then began talking over my husband saying that he was never given measurements. My grandmother who happened to be on the phone interrupted and said that was wrong. Finally the woman who works there asked them to step in the office. She said there was nothing that could be done and my grandmother would have to deal with it. I am not one to leave negative reviews without having tried to do something about it.
To have been told it would take maybe a week or two to get the furniture to it taking a little over TWO months. To the absolutely deplorable customer service she received when trying to get status updates. The only excuse she received was āthey were a little piss on store and they have to take care of the commercial stores firstā.
Boaz Discount has always been our go to furniture store but we will take our business elsewhere and make sure everyone who asks for furniture recommendations go somewhere else.
*Iād like to add an update. After my husband went up to the store and was told by the manager she could not get just a separate piece (that shouldāve been correctly ordered in the first place) she would have to order an entire new couch and she wasnāt doing that, I made my Google review. My grandmother receives a call the following day from that same manager stating she would order the section that was incorrectly ordered if my grandmother could help her out in the freight and pay an extra $200 on top of what she has already paid. In all honesty they told us up front it could take up to 1 or 2 months for it to come in. We knew that going in. However, as the time period grew closer we called to see of status. No less than 8-10 times we called. Each time they took our info so they could go check status and they repeatedly stated I will call you right back. Not on a single occasion did they call us back. That is until the last time we called. The gentleman asked for our info so he could check and call us right back. I said no way you guys do not return calls. So we waited and he informed us of the status after he took about 1 minute to check. Not that difficult, even when there are customers in the store. All shoppers have had to wait while a salesman HAD to take a call. So yhis is my recommendation. I was told my bunk beds would be in Friday or Monday within a week of ordering them.
