Rizzo Restaurant — Restaurant in Boise

Do not trust the website at this restaurant. They have a stew advertised that they don’t actually sell. If you ask them for said stew (that costs $9.99) they will then charge you for a $70 family platter. I was so excited to have a restaurant on vista that was not burgers, pizza, or sushi and they cheated my family out of $70. When we called and asked for stew they said okay…when we showed up to pick it up they said that they don’t have that and said we ordered a $70 family platter. That is fraudulent and deceitful. So sad Update…upon calling to leave a comment they told me that we took the food so it was our fault. We only took the food because they refused to acknowledge that they were wrong when we insisted that was not what we ordered and even showed them a screenshot of their website and what we ordered. The owner then confronted us via text (they grabbed my number off of their phone) sent a screenshot of the above review and basically told us it was our fault and they do lot care about our complaint because their business will be fine without us. Quite rude people. I called to order and asked how long the food would take, a very annoyed man answered. I get it, it’s a restaurant, things can be crazy. The man took my name, order, and told to me wait 15 minutes. I show up about 20 minutes later and they were busy with two other customers. Again, totally expected. When I got to the counter, an annoyed lady asked me what I ordered and told me to wait. Maybe 5 minutes later, the guy I spoke with over the phone comes in and asks what I ordered. I confirm, and that’s when I realize they did not even start my order. Okay, no problem, luckily I have time tonight. I wait an additional 30 minutes before my food is ready. While I am waiting, I can hear them snickering in Arabic in the back, making fun of my name. There is absolutely no reason to disrespect your customers. One of the most special things about our state is the kindness of its people. A business owner should know better than to insult those who help him succeed. Anyways, the shawarmas were bland, burned, and the fries were soggy. The lentil soup could be better. The food was absolutely not worth the price, nor the wait, nor the disrespectful behavior. I will not be coming...

Let's start with the good: great parking (especially in back, be careful in front due to very tall curb if your car has low front end), some of the menu items are surprisingly low price, most of the options we ordered were worth ordering again, very delicious, and they are friendly.

The not so good: they ran out of some items by 5pm. That's okay, it happens. But you don't know they're out until ordering at the register (it's confusing when you're handed a menu, but no one takes your order....go to the register!). And as other reviews mentioned, they forgot some items. We had to ask, and they still forgot to bring out half of the forgotten items. We were charged for the items that were NEVER brought out, but they quickly corrected it. So be careful what you pay for and what you receive.

The very BAD: the bathroom door was open, and the restaurant smelled like urine (or something mixed with urine, it was nauseating).

I'll go back. Some of the menu items were unbelievably delicious. I'm hoping with time their service and professionalism improves. You should definitely give it a try, but be careful reading reviews because some are obviously fake or friends of...
