Absolutely disgusting. If i wanted to sit in 84 degree wearher we would save our money and go to a park. Most seats surrounding us has little to no pleather left and there was no way as a nurse I was going to let my child sit on those.
We drove 45 min after purchasing online bc b and b website (which they love to refer you to so they dont have to actually work or deal with people). They said they had the stitch merch. And i wouldnt have been upset they didnt if a single person there answered phones.
The phone issue pretty much represents their overall attitude towards patrons. We did a short trip down to check it out before scheduling my sons bday by renting out the entire theater. (I had already inquired and obtained pricing).
Thank god we did. At first i was mad about them refusing to refund the whole transaction, but after their employee suggest we try amc...we did. And please thank her for us. They had real leather seats...not something that resembles trash under the overpasses in the hood. Matter of fact I've seen nicer in the hood in kc.
Not only do they not answer phones apparently they only employ snotty teens with absolutely no adult supervision. I wasnt going to write a review bc i understand not every employee will be on their A game everyday. However once I was informed their managment could care less and this is a corporate issue...its only right people have fair warning. If I had a dollar for everytime she threw corporate under the bus and her manager..it was pretty funny just as a business owner watching her do it. If i thought that poorly of my managers and higher ups, I would work elsewhere. I sure wouldnt work for a boss or company i thought was "incompetent."
We are in a recession. Period. People dont mind to spend $ to do stuff but they are doing so for an experience. Everything about this was messed up and frankly if it were my business i would be absolutely horrified and embarassed by the staff today.
Maybe instead of flirting up front they may wanna clean the theaters in between showings? Or thr bathrooms. Maybe walk ocer the turn the ac on.
Also as someone who worked in customer service at a theater as a teen, we were taught basic customer service. Its like a 30 min video. Amc will probably let u borrow a copy. I would highly recommend it. Basic stuff and good life skills for the future.
In the end she did us a favor. Saved me a fortune and from ruining the birthday party. I would have been so embarassed had I invited our family or friends. Im beyond glad we made this little sneak peek trip. Guess you never really know whos watching or why someone is there.
Thank you for the experience. Please let the female up front know ill finish those tik toks of the photos and get them up this week. After all...a promise is a promise.
As a small business owner in the area I understand the value of customer service and loyalty. I think you will find most of customers will be just as loyal as you are. Do better. We dont tickets or even a refund on the other stuff. Its well worth losing the $54 concessions to feel justified in letting everyone know about this place.
I really think all the schools churches group homes etc should think very carefully before taking a large group here. I think AMC in Springfield is significantly cleaner, nicer, newer, updated and they actually had the advertised merchandise. Also they answer their phones and friendly when you as questions. They still want your business. Its worth the drive! I always support local...
Read moreSo today I learned that apparently showtime are an illusion. We came today to see the 4:50 p.m. showing of the movie Tarot we got into the theater room 2 and it was completely empty and dark so we thought that maybe we were in the wrong theater. We checked it was the right theater it just wasn't playing. I wasn't sure what to expect because it was my first time coming to this theater but in my experience of going to the movies they usually have previews playing beforehand. This was not the case we sat down we arrived at the theater at 4:45 so we had 5 minutes to get movie snacks and tickets we were in our seats at about 4:48. We waited there for about 10 minutes while the movie was not playing I had my friend go out and talk to an employee and make sure that they knew that it wasn't playing they said that they didn't know that it was not playing and that they would go ahead and play it for us we waited another 5 minutes and another couple came in after us. We waited a total of around 30 minutes for the movie to play without it playing. We finally had to leave because my friend works the night shift and we had just enough time for us to watch the movie and then head home and then for her to go to work. Because they were late showing the movie we were unable to watch the movie that we paid over $40 for with snacks and tickets. We plan on going tomorrow to redeem our are refund tickets. Hopefully it goes better tomorrow because it's ridiculous that we pay $40 for an experience we didn't...
Read moreI'm old school about theaters, so when I arrived that Sat with my youngest son and two grandchildren, I expected to be seated together. Not so.. Apparently you can now reserve seats...and because of three or four families taking the seats in the middle of each row, we were forced into sitting apart. The four people who sat between us weren't loud...but took out and opened cans of pop from home, bags of treats from home, shook out lap quilts for each family member and the woman beside me kept looking at her phone, which even though she attempted to cover its distracting bright screen...well enough said. I found this expensive experience disheartening and disappointing to say the least. I've not been to a theater in probably thirty yrs and to avoid disappointing my grandsons...I went ahead and paid to sit separately. The young girl up front was detached and frankly acted as though she'd rather be elsewhere. I explained that my grandsons are autistic and we needed to be with them...sooo I sat with one and my youngest son sat with the other...I intended to buy the overly priced pop and popcorn at the theater but decided not to because I was disappointed over the seating arrangements. Too bad the family of four that sat beside me didn't buy their food at the concession stand...too bad that when you call the theater, you don't get ahold of a person to let you know ahead of time. Restrooms were clean but out of handtowels. We went after two for the...
