Walgreens — Local services in Bolivar

While Walgreens has an agreement with tha VA to fill our prescription when needed (mostly emergency situations because it takes about two weeks for the VA to fill a prescription via mail), this Walgreens will not honor that agreement, and instead force us to pay out-of-pocket. I found myself in a situation this weekend where my colon was on the verge of rupturing or perforation. The ER Doctor said I could not wait for Evan's Drug in Stockton to open on Monday otherwise I would be putting my life at risk. Evan's Drug will fill them, but not Walgreens or Walmart. These organizations are just paying lip service to veterans, but if it doesn't come with a tax break they could care less. I am on a fixed income and had no money at the end of the month to pay for drugs that I had no idea what the prices were. Do better. This is the WORST pharmacy in creation. I'd give them a -0 if that was an option. Their customer service is awful. The tech was ridicious and rude so I asked to speak to the pharmacist. The pharmacist is a total JERK. I called attempting to work out issues I had every month filling my prescriptions. He became confrontational when I asked him questions and REFUSED to let me speak to the manager, stating the manager did not take phone calls and that he could leave a note if I wanted to speak to someone. They are the worst pharmacy I've ever had the displeasure to deal with. So, this is my note to the management of this location. I'll spend my money elsewhere and maybe you need to look into the unprofessionalism in your pharmacy and the incompetence...

We did the check in this morning when the dr sent my wife the text that said she sent the prescription in and they still didn't have it ready. We did the check in at 10 am and it said they had an available time to pick it up at 12 so we chose 12. It said it was sent to the pharmacist to get ready and would be ready at 12 for an easy pick up at the drive thru. Well 12 came around and they still said it's not ready. It was 12:30 before we even had 1 of the items we had check in. We had 3 items in all. The guy was running around like he didn't even know what he was looking for.
