Glitter and Lace Formal Dress Boutique — Local services in Bon Air

While we did appreciate the their collection of dresses, the prices are extremely high for the quality. We paid an extra $50 on top of $250 to ship a dress in the correct size. When it arrived there were pulled threads, jewels already hanging off the fabric and the lace overlay was properly stitched the backer fabric. I was told that the dresses are mass produced and that is “just the design”. I’m sorry, but those are flaws that I now have to pay extra to have a seamstress address. As a result of their lack of customer service, they will lose our business for good and I strongly encourage you to only purchase dresses you can see prior to buying.

(In response to the owner's comments...) I've already had the alterations done and did not take photos beforehand. The seamstress we used was able to secure the overlay in mutliple spots, reattached a couple of jewels and handled several areas where the thread was loose or coming undone. I did discuss all of these problems at your store with your employee twice. Asking me to provide photos over a month later like I need to prove something...

Never been so disappointed in a business. Found this store online and booked an appointment for my mom to find a mother of the bride dress. When I showed up they said they mistaked us for a prom appointment and that we couldn’t try on dresses. Which makes me sense when my mom can use a prom dress as a mother of the bride dress. I drove 3 hours home from VT to make this appointment and then 45 minutes to this appointment and they turned our appointment down after we showed up on time for ours. If you want anyone who cares about you as a person do not come here. Better luck at Lexs of Carytown!

I was looking for the perfect gown for an event where I was being honored for a 100+ pound weight loss. I was nervous about finding something that would fit and still be flattering because I still wasn't at my goal weight. Upon walking in, I was immediately put at ease with the warm welcome of the owner who listened to my concerns and pulled several beautiful gowns for me to try. She made me feel like a million bucks and like I deserved the honor I'd been working so hard to receive. It's an impressive boutique with tons of dresses for all ages and sizes. While designer isn't my thing, I couldn't help but notice some teens in there 'ooing and ahhing' over the selection of designer dresses she had available. It's worth stopping in to take a look.
