Went in last night with a group of friends. It was an hr till closing time and we were a large party. At first, the frustration could be felt that a table of 12 came in at 9. I get it. I'm a server. We all ordered our food and I'm pretty sure my order was misheard as when the food arrived they had 2 of the dish(only 1 was ordered) that could have possibly sounded like my dish but didn't have mine. At this point, everyone had there food but me and I was told they didn't have my dish. So AFTER everyone had there food I selected another and waited about 20 minutes for my food to come. At that point the table was finished eating and it's almost 10. I asked for a box and the check. I didn't expect special treatment but as a server who literally makes mistakes like that because let's be real, we're all human. Zero accountability was taken. A simple "I'm so sorry, I misheard you" could have changed the whole dynamic of the situation but nothing was ever spoken. Instead, all my friends tried to feed me from there plates because they felt so bad I was food less. When I got the check I was charged full price for everything. Nothing at all was done to try to make me feel better about the situation. Not a "omg I'm sorry" not "please enjoy this cake on us" NOTHING. I left there feeling INVISIBLE which sucks because I'm a mom who rarely ever gets to go out with friends. I'm a server and I get it trust me I do. The girl, I believe her name was Ronnie really did bust her but trying to take care of everything. It was alot and I'm not dismissing that. I understand that sometimes a little bit of grace is needed and I'm pretty sure i displayed a high level of it. I wanted to leave a great tip because I knew we were alot. Instead I STRUGGLED to leave 20%. I hope the next time this happens some form of accountability is taken and no one ever leaves feeling as...
Read moreSubject: Complaint Regarding Poor Service and Food Quality I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with my recent dining experience at your Olive Garden Midlothian, VA location. Upon being seated and attended to by our server, Collin, we were not informed of any ongoing specials. In particular, I later learned of a "buy one entree, get one free to take home" promotion. I ordered the Spaghetti with Meat Sauce, which I understand now was a qualifying meal for this special. Towards the end of our meal, I inquired with Collin about getting an additional entree to go, referencing the special I had become aware of. I was told by Collin, "sorry it's too late, the check has already been processed." I found this response to be both unhelpful and quite rude. As a customer who ordered a qualifying entree, I believe I should have been given the opportunity to take advantage of the advertised special. The fact that the check had already been processed seems like a procedural issue that should not prevent a customer from receiving a benefit they were entitled to, especially since the special wasn't mentioned to us proactively. Adding to my disappointment, earlier in the meal, I discovered a piece of hair in my mozzarella cheese sticks. While this issue was addressed by the manager Jessica, and I appreciate her intervention, it significantly detracted from my dining experience. Overall, my visit to your Olive Garden restaurant was far from satisfactory due to the lack of information regarding specials, the dismissive response from our server, and the issue with the food quality. I hope you will take my feedback seriously and consider how to better inform your customers of promotions and ensure higher standards of food preparation...
Read moreI came in with a group of 7 for a friends birthday dinner on Friday. We called TWICE to make and confirm the reservation, however once we arrived were told they dont make reservations for Friday & so we had to wait. Once we were seated, we all informed the waitress how to split checks. We ordered drinks & appetizers, and my friends moms chardonnay didnt come out until way after we had our dinner, much later than when our other drinks came. Cool, we can deal w that. Then, as we are ordering food the waitress rudely told me I couldnt have salad w my meal, as what I ordered was an appetizer. Apparently they dont bring salad to the table anymore??? Thats stupid, considering thats what Olive Garden is known for. So I asked can we not pay for the big bowls of it to share? She went on & on about how now those who want soup cant get soup....so we can get salad??? What???!! Finally, we got 2 bowls for the table (at $4 a piece) and were told if we ate that, she would be charging us again. Honestly, she was very rude and condescending throughout the meal. Food was ok, however two people at our table ended up getting sick. Then, after the meal the waitress said she couldnt figure out how to split the checks, so she brought the all separate - again, not a huge deal if she werent so rude about everything. I asked if I could pay with a card and get change back for a tip....I got $1 back and $1 was charged to my card...still trying to figure out wth that was about. Needless to say, I wont be coming to Olive Garden for a while and I'll NEVER be back to...
