I had high hopes after my phone call, but when I went to pick my laptop up I was very disappointed. It DID work again, but he freely admitted that he did not do anything except take the back off. He fixed nothing. Told me it was still broken because he didn't fix it and even though it turned on now he had no idea why and that it wouldn't last. I was still happy because, hey, it turned on. Until I got the bill. I couldn't believe how much it cost to have nothing fixed. He couldn't even tell me what was wrong so I don't even feel like it was a good diagnostic fee. I don't mind paying a diagnostic fee, but I think $90 is really steep and he told me that it would be about $50 or $55 to diagnose the problem. He did not diagnose. He did not do anything. He just felt like he could charge more because it fixed itself? Which it has in the past (I told him this going in, the reason I was bringing it in was because this time I couldn't get it to straighten itself out). I did not argue or complain. I was happy that it turned on. I overpaid, took my laptop, and left. I got my files off and bought myself a new laptop but I won't go back and 10 out of 10 do...
Read moreI noticed most computer shops would start quoting their prices as soon as I stepped thru their front door. This always has the effect of making me want to turn heel and about face. The place you want to patronize is the shop where they ask about your problem FIRST, look at your computer SECOND, tell you what your problem is/could be THIRD, quote prices LAST !! This tells you where their real interest is. After almost 10 years of patronage, I can truly say that Mike and his select cohorts represent the latter. Would not consider going elsewhere at this time ! Mike has the quiet competence of a professional, and I have yet to stump him with a problem. Very happy that his shop is also close by, as my 8 yr. old has used my PC going on 4 yrs. now, and there have been many accidents. Mike has kept me up and running thru all the accidents, and my 8 yr. old has a vocabulary beyond her years from all the online word...
Read moreLong story short, I built my own computer and took pride in that fact. I wanted to do all of my repairs on my own but when faced with booting issues that I could not troubleshoot on my own, it became clear that the most cost effective route for myself would be to find professional assistance.
After checking reviews online, I decided this place was my best option. None of the pre-existing comments prepared me for how excellent and impressive Mike at 2000.Net Computers would be. Turns out the only issue I had was my “on/off” switch was broken. Mike transferred all my hardware into the new case and actually improved the mounting of the motherboard for me at an incredibly reasonable price.
I HIGHLY recommend taking your computers here! As long as you are prepared and willing for a 2-3 day wait there is virtually no reason to patronize any other shop, in my most...
