I can honestly tell you that I am so incredibly disappointed in the staff at world market . I think they have a decent array of furniture and accessories that have me visiting their website quite frequently , but if you aren't able to back it up with a professional staff and good customer service, you are just another store selling furniture. I wasn't able to buy chairs online because they were out of stock and they said the I my way I would Be able to buy them if we went to the store and purchased them there. The problem is that I Live in Miami and the nearest store is Naples. I have a brother that lives in Cape Coral and he did me the favor and drove to Naples to pick up the chairs for me. It took my brother more then an hour to arrive to the store and once he got there they informed him that he was only able to purchase 2 chairs because there wasn't an employee that was In Their warehouse yet and he would have to wait an additional 30min. His wife and 2 younger children were already in Their truck for for over an hour and asking my brother to wait another 30 Min or so was very inconsiderate especially because it was a Sunday which is typically a busy retail day and it wasn't his fault that they didn't have enough employees available to do their job, that is really very unprofessional.. I figured I would call the store and see if they could Send me the chairs and I would pay them for the shipment and they refused and told me they don't do that. So , i asked if they could Please hold the chair for Me considering all the hassle and the fact that I live in Miami and that it was difficult for Me to go such a long distance, and Jeff, store manager said that he could only hold the chair for One or two days.. I am shocked that they would. Not have done whatever they could to help And accommodate me. In fact, he never once apologized for everything that occurred and was Not helpful in the least way. World Market, I can assure you that if you have employees that aren't taking care of your customers and helping them In situations as these, you will not be in business long.!!! I don't care what pieces you carry. There are too many other businesses that not o my carry great items , but are willing to work with clients and go the extra mile, especially when your business is at fault! As per that review below by the maskless Beau, it just isn't true. I came over when I heard Beau being belligerent to the worker (Josh I believe) who was only asking him if he needed help finding something. Beau assumed he was being kicked out immediately and didn't cite vague health concerns; first he cited the lack of a mask mandate in Naples (which doesn't matter if businesses require it) as well as flexing his "secret shopper" status, whatever that means. Then he cited his fourth amendment rights (nothing of his was being searched nor seized). The worker didn't even get to offer him a mask let alone search the man (which wouldn't make sense...search for WHAT??). When the man was asked to leave after he became angry, upset, and even disturbed another customer he stormed out claiming he was gonna post this infamous review. I told him that no one really cares about his review and he was rude to me on his way out. Read moreWell first off, what is there not to love about cost plus?! I absolutely love the brand but I felt compelled to write a review after my experience today. I made a purchase recently online, of a chandelier that once hung up, I realized had a bad fuse on one of the lightbulb sockets. When I called into the store the man I was taking to was extremely helpful and told me that I could bring the chandelier back in and replace it with a new one no problem. When I got there he greeted me at the door with the brand new chandelier and had even open the box and inspected the new chandelier to make sure that it was in good working condition. I was so impressed because usually it’s a hassle trying to return something to any store especially an item that large, but it was the best experience I’ve had returning something.
