Worst experience in an ace hardware I have ever had! We had a return that took three separate trips to be able to get them to accept it then told me they had to charge me $5 due to the screws appearing to have drywall on them. The service while walking through isles to find anything has been impossible. The only reason why I'm not leaving a 1 star review is there was one gentleman that was very kind that understood my frustration and took care of me until their power tripped frightened acting manager decided to do the same thing for the third time and almost turn me away again! If a store has a return policy I would expect there to be a better way for customers to do so. I will never shop here again I drive 20 mins out of my way to ames to use their ace hardware. My husband and I really enjoy going to Ace in Boone! Recently we have been tring to figure out / pick some paint colors for our house. We have made many trips to Ace to get paint samples, and every time, the employees have been very kind and helpful to us. They were knowledgeable on what kind of paint we should get for the surfaces we've been painting, and they also helped us pick out the finish type as well. I have also discovered that they carry a number of hard to find pieces And the pricing has been good.
