Modern Dress — Local services in Boone

I had problems every step of the way! First, her CC machine wasn't working, so Ashley (the owner) assured me she'd run my card the next day. A week later, I my card still hadn't been charged. Honest little mistake... my estimated ship date was for January 19th. The first week of Feb, I made my first call, left a message, waited a week and no call back. I called again, she was with a customer and would call me back within an hour, but didn't call. The next two phone calls were the same result, each time with an excuse. The bride finally contacted her via Facebook and Ashley promised to call me, claiming she was sure my dress was in... again waited a week with no call. Then, by accident, we found out that the dress I had ordered did not come in the color I had requested it in. I drove an hour to her store to ask in person where my dress was and to inquire about the color issue. She was full of excuses as to why my dress wasn't in and said that she custom ordered my dress in the correct color. Ashley told me it would be another week to 10 days before she'd get tracking info on the dress and 2 weeks till it would be in. This past Wednesday (March 18- 2 MONTHS after the estimated ship date) I called the store, and the associate said my dress was in. Today, (Friday), the bride went to pick up my dress for me... my dress is missing. Ashley cannot find my dress, and tried to make us wait till Monday before she'd admit that it was a problem! She did refund my money, and the bride went to another store to order me a different dress, and they informed her that Mori Lee dresses could NOT be custom ordered in a different color! Now, I'll have a dress mere DAYS before my friend's wedding because she screwed...

I loved this place! The store is adorable, the dresses are amazing, and the service is awesome! Ashley, the owner, helped me the day I was there for bridal dress shopping, it was my first time trying on wedding dresses, and I was a little nervous as I'm a curvier girl... Needless to say, her selection was easy to work with. She had tons of different styles for every body shape... they were all gorgeous! She also has all the accessories(shoes, sashes, vails, jewelry, etc). I found EVERYTHING that I needed while there. Since it was the first place I went, I of course, wanted to go to a few other places to make sure that I found the right dress. I went to 2 other bridal shops, and hands down, no one beat out Modern Dress. I called Ashley immediately after my 3rd appt and said "Yes To The Dress!" I can't wait for it to come in... I can't say enough nice things about this place and the staff. They are educated in this field, and have an eye for what will really look good and make you feel like a princess. Oh, and they also carry bridesmaid dresses, mother's dresses, prom dresses, and everyday dresses - plus some stuff for the guys. :) Thank you, Ashley! I couldn't be...

I found Modern Dress after they won a Wedding Choice Award, and after my visit and finding my dress, it was so clear to see why! From the moment we walked into the door, I (along with my entire entourage) felt welcomed, comfortable, and listened to! We had fun looking though all the dresses and making our picks. I think that the dress selection was wonderful and I feel that there was a wide selection and it felt that a majority of the dresses felt unique and different, which was exactly what I was looking for. My consultant was very knowledgeable, helpful, and kind. When it came down to it, I was completely torn between two beautiful dresses and I probably wouldn't have been able to decide without her help!
