Roosters Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Boone

Stopped here after reading reviews, party of 4. Food & drinks. Wasn't busy at all it was 330pm on a Sunday. Took atleast 20 minutes to get menus & drinks ordered. Another 20 to get the drinks, 2 were waters,1long island & 1 Titos & Lemonade. All drinks came except long Island, mid aged server asks us how to make one! 🙃. The titos & lemonade was very weak, needing a shot of vodka, we paid for. Ordered 2 phillys & fries. The meat was so freaking dry!! The cheese melted so much there was no cheese. Fries ok, food took atleast 30 min to arrive. When done 2 of our group went up to the bar to pay & the server came to the table saying they needed to pay at table. We had to get our party's attention to come back to table, just thought this was odd. Hours later 1 person that had the Philly got extremely sick for a few hours. Throwing up violently. Four (4) of us went in for breakfast on a Sunday morning. Sat at a table for 20 minutes never got acknowledged. Walked out. My husband and I tried it again today, waited 10 minutes was finally acknowledged and the waitress was very nice. There were several people at the bar that seemed more important than us. While observing the others at the bar I noticed a woman with a snake around her neck. I told my husband that I had to leave, I have a great fear of snakes, I prefer them dead and anywhere I don't have to see them. My husband stayed and got our pizza to go. If i could give them no stars on this they I would. 2 of us went in about noon on Friday March 8th the service was slow at best. No menus on the table only 4 other people in there when we got there. The French fries were under cooked the jalapeño patty melt was not good the meat had a off taste making it unpleasant to eat, the jalapeños they use are nasty. They should use fresh cut jalapeños it’s not that hard to cut them yourself. They need to improve the food and get people in there that know how to cook. I will never go back to that place...
