Hands down the best Chai latte I have ever had!!

While visiting Boone, Iowa for the Grand Opening of my daughter-in-law’s new salon in The Livery building my son told me about a new coffee shop in the lower level of the building that had an amazing Chai latte. I had to try this out for myself. To me, Chai is the litmus test for a great coffee shop.

I headed over there around 10 am and was warmly greeted by the owner and another barista. I ordered a hot chai latte. The owner asked me a few questions about how I preferred my drink. She chatted with me about her chai mix, which is a hand crafted recipe. A few minutes later it was ready.

The first thing I did was remove the lid to smell the chai before tasting it. Wow! In my cup was the perfect blend of spice, warmth, and creamy goodness! This is not chain store coffee shop chai! It is utter perfection made with care and love!

Not only was my drink exceptional, the atmosphere here is so warm and welcoming. Everything used to decorate was sourced locally by the owner and repurposed. She really has an eye for detail and design. It’s a place you feel comfortable in, whether you want to find a little corner to yourself to cozy up with a good book or sit in the atrium area and chat with friends. I am so glad Blissful Brew has come to Boone! The drinks are quality and hand crafted, and you can tell a lot of thought and care has gone into curating the recipes. The staff is so kind and friendly -- even during a rush when it is busy, they are extremely kind and do a great job getting out orders! My most recent visit, I was so impressed with the staff who took extra time to make a custom drink for my dad; he can't have sugar or caffeine due to his health, and couldn't find anything he could have on the menu so he was just going to not get anything that day -- but the ladies working made a special drink just for him that he could drink!! I believe they just opened this week & I've been in 3 of the 4 days. I've tried the "Farmers Reboot", "Espresso Train", and a "Puffer Billy". All were excellent! I have some old High School pals coming to visit this summer and I look forward to bringing them to Blissful Brew.
