Smith Family Farms Market — Local services in Bossier City

This place is located just south of Barksdale AFB's South Gate on Barksdale Blvd, in River Crest Shopping Center, just before the big red, white, and blue stars water tower. It is at the south end next to Zaxby's, Smoothie King, River Crest Dry Cleaners, and Tasty Creme Donuts. I just missed them today, so sent an edit for their hours. I've bought from them before at the weekly Ruston Farmer's Market. I was in SHV / BOS today, so thought I'd stop by. Their beef is superb. It's a few dollars more per lb than the grocery store regular feedlot beef, but less than the grocery store premium beef. And I think it's better in flavor and texture. Plus it's locally raised in pastures and doesn't head out of state for processing, so no feedlots, no injections, no alterations. And I don't get heartburn from their chuck roasts like I do with grocery store roasts. If you know anything at all about the state of mass-produced food in this country and all the farmland owned by corporations who are ruining us, then you're probably willing to go out of your way and drive to a ranch to buy REAL food for your family. Smith's Market is a dream come true because it's right in the center of town and I really couldn't ask for anything more. The meat is completely natural, grown and processed close by, very well packaged and sold in a clean store which has much more than just meat. Honestly this place is a breath of fresh air. We need to support our ranchers and we need to eat real food. Buying from here is a pleasure for that alone but to top it off it's very clean, organized, and friendly. Literally, the best market you'll find on this side of the river! The meat is either fresh or frozen, depending on when you plan on using them which is convenient and a bonus! With a wide selection of beef products, ranging from ground beef, steaks, and even brisket burgers! 😋 The list could go on!
