I purchased a sofa two weeks ago from Walter who completely failed to disclose their “no return” policy (even though the website says there is a 30-day return policy). When the sofa arrived to be delivered to my home, the delivery men were not very helpful. They took one look at both of the entrances to my apartment and immediately said the sofa would not fit... did not even take the sofa out of the truck. They left in a dash and told me to call the store where I purchased the sofa (Jamaica Plain).
I gave Walter a callback and he informed me of their no return policy but said I can receive store credit. I went around to the Jamaica Plain and Chelsea locations to see if I would like another piece but none will fit through our apartment door.
I have been given the runaround by the corporate office, Walter, and Ed the general manager (who I have called 50 times this week, and has not picked up or returned any of my phone calls).
Now they are saying, they will refund my money back but will charge me a 20% fee. Why can't I get ALL of my money back from something I never even had a possession of???

For the first time I have to complain to them due to a delivery of a bedroom set and some mattresses and we do not know how they hit the TV screen and it does not work, it is clearly seen that it was with the corner of something that the delivery them broke I tell you that the delivery was Thursday and we realized the broken television on Friday night I wait for Monday and nothing and on Tuesday they tell me that it has been 5 days for that claim that they cannot be held responsible. With this I am not telling them that I am going to stop buying with them but it is so that they are always aware of when they make deliveries and know that they only have 5 days to claim cases like this thing that they do not tell us in the store. because now it's my turn to buy a tv that didn't even have 5 months old I bought it for my child.
