Oh my goodness what can I say about this bakery! Words cannot even describe how incredible and talented these individuals are. Here they have, in my opinion, Fairy God-Mother's. (Hadas Madrina's) They make anything you want to your hearts desire. You tell them the idea of the size, color, style and even down to the design...they will make it happen. Miracle workers here!
This was my daughter's 13th birthday cake and look how INCREDIBLE this masterpiece came out. From the moment I picked up the cake, I was blown away. The details and just utter gorgeousness of this cake; I didn't want to cut it or even eat it towards the end of the evening. I placed in my order a few days ahead of schedule (4 days in advance) and so when the day came for the pick up it was ready to go!
As you can see from my pictures, the colors matched my decorations at home as it brought everything together. The stars of the evening was my daughter and the cake. On the inside, my goodness, soooooo delicious and so moist. NOT DRY AT ALL!!! I'm telling you it was that good. This was a vanilla cake with strawberry filling. One thing that I appreciated is that you're not just limited to strawberry. They have other flavors: pineapple, guava and many more...but you pick! Therefore for me, I picked strawberry because I know my daughter loved that flavor.
A BIG THANK YOU to Gondres Bakery! You made my princess so happy and even myself. All of my guests (family & friends) were blown away and so without you all of this couldn't be possible and so thank you so much from the bottom of my heart. This was Perfect! Mil gracias for todo, perfecto en todos los sentidos, ya que estoy impresionado pero muy feliz con el resultado final.

Read moreOrdered a cake here for my daughter’s birthday after seeing rave reviews. I, like another recent reviewer, was very disappointed and had a similar experience. I placed the order a week ahead and dropped off decorations I’d purchased. When I arrived the day off, they told me they had no record of my cake and couldn’t find it. The party was just a couple hours away. After a good 30 min of waiting on the side as they looked into it, I was told that they could try to make another one in time. The worker took out an order form to start all over again. Soon thereafter, someone found my cake in the fridge, but lacking decorations. The decorations then resurfaced and the woman behind the counter took all of 10 seconds to push them in at random. There was little in the way of apology, nothing readily offered for my stress and the time wasted wondering if I’d have a cake. I told them that I was unwilling to pay full price. After a good amount of negotiation, I told them that I would pay the base price but $0 extra for decorating that I could have done myself. They begrudgingly agreed and shoed me away, acting like I was shortchanging them. I was even more disappointed by the attitude displayed by one woman in particular, who made it seems as though I were cheating her when, I, as the customer, had been so inconvenienced and had not gotten the cake that I’d ordered (temporarily lost, missing decorations, wrong color scheme, 10 second decorating job). The cake itself was good, but not worth the angst. I’d been happy to support a local bakery but don’t plan...
Read moreThis bakery has an unassuming entrance that would be easy to miss, if it weren't for the constant stream of people coming in and out! I popped in on a Thursday afternoon on a whim and was bowled over by the delicious-looking options in the cases, atop the counters, and on the chalkboard menus. Ended up ordering a dulce de leche cortada (curdled milk dessert), a flan, and a slice of pineapple cake. Everything was both to-die-for rich and tasty, and a smidge too sweet for my tastes (but I was born and raised on Asian desserts which are notoriously un-sweet). I loved the flan but it was so rich (I think they use lots of yolks?) that I couldn't take more than a few bites in a sitting. The cortada was interesting! I've never had that dessert before, and in fact I ordered it without knowing what it was—the curdled milk texture is a little squeaky and crumbly, but it's for sure tasty and a little spicy from the cinnamon, so it's not one-note. The cake was probably my favorite: moist and full of real pineapple flavor.
Loved this place. Will be back when I need my sugar fix! Service was friendly; most people (patrons included) seemed to speak Spanish but despite my language deficiencies, they were super kind. Prices are more than fair as well. $9 for the...
