I have used the store in the past to sell clothing, shoes, purses, etc...I have recommended friends to sell items there. However, my experience a few days ago left an awful taste in my mouth, with the unprofessional behavior, poor attitude, never smiled, and treated me in a demeaning manner. I was late for my appointment, coming from two days and nights on call, I apologized and even said I could reschedule. The young lady who greeted me at the door, said to go ahead and put all my items on the rack, but if the next appointment showed up, that I may have to wait a few extra minutes, and I was fine with that. An older lady, with blonde hair, who I have seen there for years, came and helped the younger woman go thru my items. I told her I was sorry for being late also, and she said nothing. I then asked if they had any Capri dress pants in the store, she never looked up and mumbled, "Maybe." So I walked around the store looking, and a very nice older lady, who was on the floor, was extremely nice and helped me look around. I had noticed some shoes on display that had mud on them, a pair that had a dark foot imprint, a few armpit stains, and a few items that had seen the drier a lot. I also seen a lot of new looking items, some with tags etc.. I heard my name yelled and I walked to the back. The older lady, going thru my clothes said "you only have 15 acceptable items, you need 20, we do not take yard sale items." Then silence and began helping another customer, she knew by name.. she never smiled, offered advice, said I'm sorry. it was bad enough, the other lady said "Rough" and her eyes got big. So I asked what was wrong with the items and you could definitely tell she was irritated.. she said we do not take yard sale items. I informed her, that I never go to yard sales, but was planning on having one, but had brought the items to the store instead because the amount of money spent on clothes. I had left a yard sticker on a brand new Express Skirt.. Silence. The other lady turned around and said that is alot of nice clothes, would I sale them to her and she went thru them. I asked if I had any money left over from years ago and I did.. We walked up front, she still never said a word, and i finally said.. Once again, I am sorry that I was late (She never responded or looked up). I then said, Have I done something to piss you off or are you just having a bad day? She said NO! Told me to sign the paper for my money, and my account was closed. I picked up two pieces of paper, showing my sales, apparently one was a copy, unknown to me, cause she Jerked it our of my hand. I walked to the back of the store and pulled my cart out, with the help of the other customer, who wanted to go thru it. The younger store employee, opened the door and asked me if I was alright, and said she was sorry! I told her No! I have never been treated so bad at a store, and still to this point, I am embarrassed for the way I was demeaned about my items. She was extremely curt, unprofessional, and made me feel awful. This was the first time in my life, I have experienced the Look Down your Nose at someone.... because of this experience, I will educate people on the atmosphere there, and will strive to make sure my patients never...
Read moreI grew up coming to this store with my mother and have always enjoyed seeing the owners who are kind, knowledgeable, and make the shopping experience enjoyable start to finish. Over the summer I was back in Bowling Green visiting from Colorado, and couldn’t believe how poorly I was treated by the woman pictured in the attached photo. I kept to myself while browsing, and at first when she seemed angry/short after I requested a fitting room I just told myself she might be having a rough day or that I could be misinterpreting her signals. When it came time to checkout, however, it became obvious that the tension was not in fact imagined. She was abrasive when handling my card, and shoved both it and the receipt toward me. I want to express that I was in Bowling Green caring for my dying father and this interaction deeply impacted me, especially because I grew up shopping here with my mother who died 9 years ago. When I traveled back this past month for my dad’s funeral and to process him home, I didn’t venture to this store as I usually do. I’ve debated writing this review but feels it’s important, as I know the owners would never stand for this type of behavior and it’s been a staple in Bowling Green for so long. I notice a few other reviews echoing a similar sentiment, and hope this issue can be resolved internally so that the shopping experience can be restored to something special and enjoyable as it has...
Read moreSo I normally don’t rate this low, but I am absolutely fed up with the employees at this store. They’re all snobby and look you up and down when you’re buying certain items. Bad customer service! Plus, my daughter recently applied here. They had a big ole sign that said “HIRING”. My daughter explained to me that when she went inside and asked if they were still hiring, the lady behind the desk said “We’re still taking applications.” And looked her up down and basically shoved the application at her, and told her to not contact the store as they do not do application follow ups. I thought that was kinda ridiculous for someone to say that, considering that’s how you know someone really wants the job. But I guess people roll differently at Beverly Hills Boutique. When my daughter went to turn in her application, she was directed to someone else throughout the store, who also scanned my daughter’s outfit and said “I’m sorry, we’re no longer hiring”. it’s BEYOND me that anyone would treat someone like that. You old ladies at this store need to either retire or learn not to judge others for their appearance. I will not be returning. If my daughter ever even gets a call back she will not be...
