What a great all around experience. Nunu was wonderful, best nail salon experience I’ve had.
Here’s the long version. A few months ago I decided to start getting my nails done again after a 10yr hiatus. I struggle with sensory issues, so the nail salon is pretty intimidating for me. The salon I went to by BAC was loud, disorganized, nobody would talk to me and would just say yes to all my questions. As soon as I got in the chair I wanted to leave but figured it was the ‘tism kicking in and stayed. I wanted gel over my real nails and picked a color. Long story short I was given acrylic and each time I went back and tried to verify that I’m getting gel I was misunderstood or lied to. They would look a week grown out after 2 days. The colors were wrong. I made an appointment with the same woman each time who would not speak to me when spoken to. After looking at reviews I decided to try Glam nails, immediately felt more comfortable bc the person on the phone asked questions, took my info and got me in quickly. Upon arrival, a gentleman assessed my nails, talked to me in depth and seemed to care. Once he had a plan he passed me on to Nunu, who was quick, a joy to talk to (small talk usually makes me want to die) and she picked the exact color I had been trying to get at the other salon on her first pull. My nails feel great and look exactly how I wanted them to. The aesthetic is beautiful, peaceful but not boring, extremely clean, parking is easy and I can grab lunch at Boba...

1-22-23 Update Initially, I gave two stars. After almost 4 weeks, my nails are STILL intact! Not one chip, not one flake. At this point, I am amazed how well they held up. Trully!!! Even though the top coat was applied sloppily, my nails stayed gorgeous. That is why I must change my review to a 5 star. I hope that everyone gets this quality of nails. Well worth the price of $50.00 for acrylic fill-in. Acrylic fill-in was done well. Shaping was done well, also.
The top coat was applied incorrectly on 7 nails, which will result in me having to do my nails within the next 7 days. I am assuming that is to save product. Out of $50.00, there should not be any reason to be skimpy on top coat.
UV light was also applied incorrectly. They paint all 5 nails before applying UV light. The correct way is to paint one nail and expose it to UV light right away.
When all steps are done correctly, gell and acrylic nails DO NOT CHIP.
As other reviewers noted, they were contacted by the saloon to remove reviews. That is HARRASMENT. You get reviews according to your performance. When we pay for something we expect it done correctly. Skimping on top coat and inadequate UV application is...
Read moreBeware!!!I am adding to this review as a beware... after I left this review the sal9n contacted my daughter and asked that I change my review, I refused as It is an honest review. Today my daughter called in and made an appointment to have the nails the put on her removed, they set up the appointment and asked if it was for her or her mom...weird but whatever right. A few minutes after the call she was notified that she cannot go to their salon because of my review. That is insane! These people have good reviews because they have you change them or you get banned in this case your family gets banned! I was in yesterday for a mani and pedi and was very disappointed with my outcome. My polish did not last a day, the last time I was in I had the same thing happen. I called in and told them my issue and was told to call back now my calls go straight to voicemail. Update...spoke to them, well my daughter spoke to them and Apparently it is completely normal to have your nails chip within a few hours of having them done(as far as they are concerned) dont waste your time...
