It's great this is free for all to enjoy. Its the only free thing WKU offers its community. I've been here many times and I like it. What I don't like is that they do not give this place funds at all! WKU does not care about this building. If you go inside you will see a projector was the 90s and that's how they do the show. Since this is the only free thing WKU has to offer its community I suggest giving them some funds. It would not take very much to update the show. Stop using the projector and get with the times. Read moreThe Planetarium is free to the public and has themed shows throught the week. We went on a Thursday. There were only about 20 of us. It was super interactive and our host/guide, Chris, was so fun and charismatic and engaging. The themes change after several months but don't be discouraged. Since your crowd size and the individuals change every time, the experience will still be unique. This is a great place to bring a kid interested in space, or a kid at heart who likes the stars. By the way, the Planetarium is run completely by volunteers and they could really use some help this summer. If you're over 18 (or maybe in HS) and want to be involved in something super cool, think about...
Read moreMy friends and I randomly showed up to a show while visiting town. Let me tell you we had an absolute blast learning about the life cycle of stars by a man who was equally passionate, knowledgeable, and incredibly excited despite there being maybe 15 people in the audience. If you have a question not only will he tell you the answer he will run across the planetarium pretending to be a comet just to get the point across. Absolutely incredible, if you’re ever wondering if you should go the answer is yes. We are all adults and we learned so much about star life cycles. It’s free and run by equally passionate volunteers, so it really makes you excited...
