Quickly going downhill. I worked at this theater in high school when it was still owned by Great Escape. At that point it was still fairly new, so it was still in pretty good shape and the equipment was up to par. Now, the place is depressing. The arcade is almost nonexistent, the carpet is disgusting, the wallpaper is peeling in a lot of places, the bathroom and water fountains are gross and appear to have not been cleaned in weeks if not months.
The actual movie equipment is so outdated its laughable, the image doesn't even match the screen (easy fix by moving the curtains in and out as needed, very common practice when setting up a new movie on a projector, it just shows how little effort is put in). The last movie I saw a few weeks ago seemed to only be running on half of the speakers, and the seats were either too gross to sit in or broken, might explain why it's the only movie I've gone to see at this theater in the last 5 years.
The only good thing I can say about my last trip was that the trash cans had been emptied, but this could also be because no one was buying anything from concessions that required them to throw anything away.
Honestly, I'm surprised this theater and the 10 by the mall are...
Read moreI go here when the one in Clarksville doesn't offer the movie we want to see. It's not a bad place but not great either. I prefer the reclining seats AND the movies to start on time(once we waited 45 minutes). After that experience, we're happy if it starts remotely anywhere near when it's supposed to. You will be waiting at the concession stand. I buy my tickets online for special events, so I get the seats I want and assured it's not sold out. At this location, you have to scan your phone to receive a paper ticket. I find this wasteful. Um is it just me or does anyone else have a hard time getting it to read your phone??? No one is there to help at the desk, I get frustrated easily. As soon as you print your ticket you turn to your right take a few steps and give someone the tickets. Why can't we just show them our phone like the other Great Escape...
Read morePlace is becoming a little run down. This is the first time I’ve been to a movie theater and probably 15 years. There’s no attendant to sell you a ticket, and it’s all done digitally. I’m fairly OK with that, but what I’m not in love with is the fact that you have to choose your seat before you even walk into the theater. I’m sure nobody’s gonna hold a gun to your head. If you move to a different location once you’re in there, but you are assigned a seat. So if you walk into the theater then, you see that there’s 1 million people on the first row but you purchase a seat on the first row well guess what your seat is just on the first row. It truly eliminates the freedom to choose where you sit. The place is pretty clean, but as I mentioned, it’s becoming rundown. And all movie theaters any snacks or beverages you purchase will cost you a...
