Hokkaido Ramen and Sushi House — Restaurant in Bowling Green

I saw that this place had good reviews, so we gave it a shot. Wow!! The food is amazing!! It's reasonably priced, as well. We started off with Red Snapper Sushi and the Pork Buns. The fish was perfectly cut and generous without having too much rice under it. The pork buns were incredible. The sweetness on the pork marinade perfectly balanced by salty and the crispness of the veggies was delightful. So good I forgot to get a pic. I got the Spicy Ramen at the highest spice level. The broth was so flavorful, noodles perfectly cooked, marinated egg with perfect jelly center, and the spice level was exactly what I wanted as someone who LOVES spicy food. The portions are extremely generous. You will not leave hungry. My husband got the Beef Curry Rice. The plate was practically overflowing. He thoroughly enjoyed it. I tried a bite. Lovely curry with tons of meat and veggies. He was also very full and satiated. We each got a hot tea. He got the black. I got the jasmine green. Both are perfect. That black tea is so smooth with a natural sweetness and the jasmine has a strong jasmine flavor and scent. I loved that the tea pots and cups matched and also coordinated with the type of tea. We will definitely drive the hour to come...

This was our first time dining at Hokkaido Ramen and sushi restaurant. First I'd like to say the decor in the restaurant is very welcoming and beautiful. We were greeted immediately by two employees, and were seated right away. Everyone was very professional and friendly. The menu is itself really nice it's printed on a hard plastic it felt like and it seemed elevated. Even the dishes were pretty. Our meal came quickly and was fantastic, and we ordered ginger tea as well that we really enjoyed. We ordered the Dancing Eel, Golden California, and Spicy yellowtail sushi rolls. All of them were absolutely beautiful and the taste was phenomenal. We ordered a Slice of Cheesecake for dessert with strawberry drizzle. And it finished off a perfect meal. Was so excited to try this place. Unfortunately the service was terrible. The food that came correct was decent but the server didn’t take our order correct. things happen asked for extra napkins brought 2 for a table of three. Walked away while ordering drinks and gave no attention to my daughter. Asked for little bowls for our soy sauce again brought 2 as if my kid wasn’t there. I really wanted to give this place a good review unfortunately sometimes a company is only as good as the help they hire and in my opinion going out to eat is an experience. Sincerely hope it was a one off event and others have a better time...
