I was in the Dual Diagnosis aka MICA unit at Bradford going on 2 months ago and I have to say it is an excellent program! I cant speak for the rest of the hospital, but where I was was outstanding! Pretty much all the staff there are great! They are friendly as well as knowledgeable. I liked this program because it really focused on the mental health portion of my diagnosis which is what I needed. There was not a lot of idle time there as we had 6-8 groups a day. They say idle minds is the devil's playground, not at Bradford! If you come here with the mindset of laying back, getting fat on 3 squares a day, this is not the program for you. You get out what you put into it. The therapists Mike, Katie, Laura and basically the majority of the therapists there were outstanding! The nurses Susan, Kathryn, Jill and many others were friendly and knew there jobs well! Heck even down to Margaret, the unit's Administrative Assistant, were very much on point ! At this program you have to get honest with yourself and stop the BS behaviors that you displayed when you were out in the world! I am from New York but traveling to Bradford was so worth it for me! I would recommend this program to those who are serious about getting on the road to healing and recovery! Keep up the great job MICA unit you rock!! Thank you...

Read moreStaff are extremely rude except for the one secretary in the ER department. They have not ever given me a wrist band. Nurses will sometimes mock patients. This hospital is discriminatory. They have denied me medical treatment last semester for breathing related issues all because I am transgender. What is interesting about that too, is the network that owns them has an anti discrimination policy that includes sexual orientation and gender identity, yet BRMC does not follow their OWN NETWORKS ANTI DISCRIMINATION POLICY! This semester I ended up going to Erie for an asthma related issue, all because of the mistreatment I received at the BRMC.
Not to mention they have misdiagnosied patients. A friend of mine had pelvic pain, they were told they had a UTI. Later they found out that it turned out it wasn't a...
