Papa Scoops — Restaurant in Bradford

Tried again, got ripped off. I try this place every summer just to see if it's gotten back to how good it was years ago. This summer was another disappointment.

We tried ordered 2 cones. Nothing fancy other than I requested the fudge dipped cone they advertised. The guy said there wasn't any but he could put a little fudge on top. Sure, ok seemed fair. My husband ordered a basic cone with a new flavor of ice cream. What we got was a double scoop (only ordered a single) in a cup for my husband and a bowl of ice cream with fudge all over it and charged for a double cone and an ice cream sundae.

They are forever out of things, the food that gets cooked is no longer soft (pretzels) or fresh tasting, they over charge every chance they get and the woman has an attitude if you dare ask for something like a side of cheese while ordering (I was trying to order it with the pretzel so we could pay the extra, so it's not like I was trying to dodge paying).

Ultimately sadly this place use to be the go to stop when my kids were younger. They couldn't wait to go every summer.... Now it's an emergency stop if we ABSOLUTELY need ice cream and even the gas stations machine is down or they are out of ice cream. I'll keep trying once a summer in hopes they get their groove back. I miss...

On our way through Bradford yesterday on a road trip, we were pleased to spot this old-school place. My cheeseburger was delicious, freshly cooked and hot with a generous-sized patty and really fresh, toasted (or grilled?) roll too. And what a great selection of ice cream flavors! Ordered super Hollywood burger it's was huge and absolutely delicious and worth every cent . Ordered beffalo ceazer wrap and the wrap instead or tortilla was made of chicken was absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked . The fried cauliflower was perfect and non of the food was greasy nor did it fall apart . The ice cream was genorous scoops and delicious staff was friendly and patient will come back again...
