Overall, the room is moderately clean. I think the hotel management has forgotten what people use hotels for. People use them as a place of rest/sleep while traveling. Not to just sure luggage and blow money.
If the bed is so incredible uncomfortable, why buy a bed for the room at all. Just build a plywood box frame and throw a sheet on it .It's the exact same feeling as your get right now with their beds .
Housekeeping is good, other than it being a crapshoot on whether you get the right amount of towels each day.
Oliver's breakfast is good. They tell you it's "cooked too order..." however they don't finish the sentence with "... From the 6 basic things on the wall menu" .
The hotel hosts weddings and receptions, and after you leave the banquet area, the noise is not heard from the rooms, so, great job to that. You do have to walk through the wedding party at times to get to there elevator, which has been......iinteresting at times.
Parking, however, leaves a lot to be desired on those wedding and reception days. There hotel should have a separate parking area designated specifically for guests, and leave most of the back for the wedding parties, since that's where they enter from anyways. Parking so far out back because of two or three weddings is a pain when coming in with luggage, only to have my car being there only one left in the parking lotl and a prime candidate for being broken into after all the parties leave after midnight.
Overall the primary improvement to this place should start with the beds . Then move to the basic amenities in the rooms, and move to the parking for registered guests. These are the things that keep you in business.
Weddings/Receptions are a great money maker, but unless the money generated from those weddings don't require you to have hotel guests staying in the hotel every night, be careful on how you push your customers out of the rooms with these flawed amenities .
If it weren't for Oliver's, I would have only given this hotel one Star. Oliver's staff is great, the food is good. Breakfast only has one employee working .So the cook is also the bus boy. So if tables are dirty, you'll have to either sit further back than the rest of the tables that were made for breakfast guests, or sit at a...

We decided to stay here due to a wedding reception that was at the event center. The reception hall & breakfast & food @ Oliver's were good, but that was about it. When we arrived late on Thursday night we were placed in a room with extreme water damage on the ceiling with mold, a sticky carpet, & a baby crib full of moldy baby puke & a bugs nest. We requested to change rooms. My husband went down to complain & we were moved to the 4th floor, we were very pleased as this room was TOTALLY remodeled, however it didn't have a safe like the first room-we also didn't get a crib right away and had to put our 7 month baby in a double bed with us, resulting in a poor night sleep. Friday afternoon we finally recieved a crib, but that night we noticed one of the walls was bubbling & that brown water was dripping down the wall (near electrical outlets), my husband went to complain once again as we felt unsafe & confused as to how this could happen in a newly remodeled room. We were then asked to move to king bed/pull out couch suite. Due to the pull out being poor quality, 3 of us slept in the king bed and 1 on the pull out, other than that this room was not updated, but we didn't have any problems. Also we were very disappointed that the POOL was under construction and NOT functional...we were really looking forward to swimming with our 7 month old #1: I don't know how this hotel can put anyone on 5th floor-should be condemned #2: the remodel looked GREAT! but shouldn't be leaking #3: they should get a 2nd elevator #4: they should notify guests that the pool isn't accessible #5: NO ONE should have to move THREE...
Read moreThis place has allot of potential. However it has a long way to go before getting there. I had to stay here because of a wedding, otherwise I would have turned around and left. As soon as I got out of the elevator it smelled like a musty mold. The huge pool area looks like it was amazing at one point. However now it is closed, empty and the rafters are full of mold and rotted. The floors in the hallway were creaky and the carpet was old. The room was very outdated. There's a big boxy TV with a channel listing that is wrong. The electronics were all plugged in through a power strip that could barely reach the lamp. I went for a drink of water. I couldn't get any cold water from the sink. I went to find ice and the machine said it was out of order and to get ice from the restaurant downstairs. When I took a shower I had the temperature suddenly turn ice cold. Then it changed to scalding hot. And the bathtub nearly had me fall when I got in the shower it was so slippery. Another guest from the wedding party I spoke with said the same thing happened to them. They also said they saw a cock roach in thier room. The coffee in the room was so bad my wife and I had two sips and spit it out. Luckily there's a Starbucks near by. The breakfast was fantastic but that's because it's made by the awesome restaurant they have attached called Olivers. Unfortunately that restaurant didn't cater the food at the reception which was bland and tastless. I've had better food at a hosptial. I wanted to find good in this place. But out of all the hotels I've stayed at in my life (and there have been allot) this was my worst experience. They need to tear this place down and...
