A+++ for King Music on my out-of-state piano purchase. This business is A GEM! I cannot praise the staff at King Music enough for their OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE. King Music provides a level of service that is personal and genuine in a way which is hard to find these days.
In 2022, I made a new year’s resolution to practice an instrument again, so I set out to purchase a Casio digital piano. After a disappointing experience with a local Atlanta piano dealer, I wasn’t sure where to go . I had concerns about purchasing online: Would I be buying from a large, impersonal online business with no storefront? If I needed help, would they be knowledgeable enough to help? What if my piano arrived damaged, then what? What level of assembly would be required? How would I know if I put it together properly?
Since I reside in Atlanta, it must have been a divine stroke of good fortune that I found King Music in Illinois. Their staff (Justin and Ben) spoke to me over the phone about the Casio GP-310 and Casio GP-510 digital pianos. They talked me through the differences and provided reasonable quotes (including shipping). I decided to spring for the Casio GP-510, and, having gotten a good vibe from King Music, placed my purchase with them.
Like many packages that were snarled at shipping ports in 2022, my piano package got significantly delayed at port. During the long wait for things to start moving again, Ben and Justin kept me regularly updated via text and phone calls. When my piano eventually arrived at King Music in Illinois, they called me to ask if they could open the package to ensure everything was ok. They also offered to drive the assembled piano down from Illinois to Georgia to ensure I got it properly set up and to meet me in person. Lo and behold, Randy King (King Music President) drove my digital piano all the way from Illinois to Georgia! When he arrived, the delivery was neatly organized and seamless. He is a kind and gracious businessman (and also professional musician!). In addition to the piano, which they had pre-assembled and pre-tested in Illinois, he also had all of my paperwork ready to go. Thoughtfully, he had registered my piano already and had also prepared a page with a couple of certified Casio reps in Atlanta in case I needed future, local on-site help. When I inquired about a protective cover for my new purchase, he was even able to hook me up with a reasonably-priced custom-made cover.

I called previously about a case for an instrument and the person I talked to was extremely helpful and I’m optimistic about the quality of help and expertise I would get in the store. My suggestion for the account management online though is to chill out with the Captcha. Having to click the images every time I log in is overkill for what the website is and designed for. A simple checkbox rather than the image selection would suffice. I will certainly consider amending my review in the future if I have more interaction with the store. Editing my rating from 3 to 5 stars due to the quick reply to my concern regarding the fact that I was solicited for a review before the order shipped. Adding another edit as of 6/8/23: Made a physical visit to the store today for the first time. I had a list of about four different things I wanted to ask about or needed done. I was helped immediately, they answered all of my questions, and it could not have been a better experience.
