You may find some things close to their "best by" dates. Don't let that stop you from buying and trying. Lots of items from pricey "whole food-like" stores. Wanna try couscous? Get it here at a great price...don't like it? You are not out much money. "Best by" dates really don't mean much. America's Test Kitchen ran an experiment on eggs and kept them in a fridge for 4 months after their date. Tasted a little like the fridge at the 4 month mark but were still good. This is a great option in Braham to get fruit, veggies, and meat that you can't get at a gas station or dollar store. The employees have always been very friendly, There is often a variety of vegan and vegetarian foods that can be very hard to find in a small town. The prices are very low, although not necessarily cheaper than an Aldi or Walmart. The downsides are that the aisles are very narrow, making it difficult to shop at busy times, and the fresh produce can go bad pretty quickly. Best discount food store for a small town. Lucy the manager is top notch and runs this store like a family. Employees are extremely helpful and friendly. You will absolutely always find something. I never leave empty handed. I try unique foods i normally would never pick up in the store. Found some really great foods doing this.
