HARASEMEMT, ASSAULT, & ROBBERY ALERT: summarized due to character limit* Incident occurred Nov 25, 2017 Summary: Lenny lied to me about being the store manager and kicked me out of the store. Trevis threatened me with assault if he ever met me outside the store. Kenny (actual store manager) diplomatically blew me off, making excuses for his employees. Tony (Antonio, assistant store manager) lied to me about their return policy, robbed me from my device, and kicked me out of the store. He actually robbed me and never showed me proof that he returned my money. I complained to Best Buy corporate, and they told me to go the Police and file an assault report, which I plan on doing very soon.
Incident: I purchased a new Samsung phones on Nov 24, 2017 from another Best Buy, they gave me the wrong color. I looked for a close Best Buy to switch the device. I never opened the box. I was served very quickly and generously by a representative named Fausto. As he was making the exchange, the Best Buy default $35 restocking fee was added to the transaction. He said it won't apply brvsusr he verified the phone wasn't open. This is also supported by Best Buy policy, where it says, "There is no restocking fee if the product is unopened". A manager needs to waive the fee. Lenny came and asked me if I've opened the box. I replied that I haven't. He asked me again in an interrogative and authoritative manner. I replied, again, that I have never opened it. Lenny made me feel like waiving the fee was a favor he had done for me, not my right based on Best Buy policy. I asked for his manager. He claimed that he's the store manager, while pointing to his badge that says sales manager. I did not trust his claim. This is when the assault threats began: Suddenly, a resprentative (not a manager) named Trevis randomly intervened and told me that I'm using "big words". I did not give him much attention initially. All I wanted was my new phone and to leave. Trevis mentioned that I'm "looking like a clown". Please note that this was occurring in the middle of the store among customers. Trevis' comments did not stop and his voice and tone kept getting more and more aggressive (while Lenny and all other representatives were just standing by and not rectifying the situation). He walked towards me very abruptly and aggressively, yelling ironically, "don't walk up on me bro!". He also yelled, "You're a pretty big dude, but you soft....you soft...soft" while he was aggressively walking around me in circles. Again, not one employee said a word. He then proceeded to say, "you won't talk like that outside". This clear and direct threat made me feel very frightened and uncomfortable. He was behaving like the type of person who would actually follow up on such a threat. After that he told me to "get the hell out of the store", as if he owns the place. I asked someone for the store manager, they told me to speak to Kenny Trevis runs past me toward Kenny. As he walked away, he was still eye calling me and yelling random phrases, which felt extremely threatening. Kenny did not bother to address that. Kenny was very diplomatic with his answers. When I explained to him what Trevis did, he said, "I've known Trevis for a very long time and he never lost his Temper". Sounds like an excuse for Trevis. I had to return to the store to put the device on my Best Buy credit card instead, the store was closing within half an hour so Kenny left. Tony comes to speak to me (the name on his badge is Antonio), lies to me about the restocking fee, and begins the transaction. I had a question about my balance. He interrupted me and ended the transaction and kicked me out. He never gave me a receipt showing that the money will go back on my card. I had a receipt showing that my Best Buy credit card was charged for the exchange. HE ROBBED ME FROM MY PHONE. I felt very threatened and violated, so I did not feel...
Read moreWill never shop here again! Lois in the appliance department is one of the worst sales person I’ve ever encountered. She was nothing but rude, unhelpful and dismissive. I went to buy a refrigerator and she told me that they did not have any fridges within my $2k budget and said I should go to the Best Buy outlet in Brockton and walked away. as I was leaving, I saw a fridge on display and went to my car and purchased it on line. Fast forward, I paid someone to pick up the fridge who met me at the store. I went inside to check out the fridge as it was being wrapped up and noticed new scratches on the door which came from the opening of a fridge door place right next to it. A customer wanted to look at the neighboring fridge and I told Lois to not open the door because I had just purchased my fridge and the other door was scratching it. She ignored me and opened it anyways then proceeded to tell me that my fridge door was not damaged although you could clearly see the marks made from the other door (and I took pictures before asking to speak to a manager and before Lois opened the door). I asked Lois to find a manager and she continued to say the door wasn’t damaged. I then told her that I was no longer going to speak with her and that I was waiting for a manger. She pointed at me and said “Oh, I’ll get the manager!” In a tone as if she was thinking that the joke would be on me precise she was going to tell the manager not to help me. And that’s what she did. She left the client that was looking at the other fridge and walked to the nearest manager. I walked behind her and overheard her talking about me to the manager and another appliance sales person. The manager comes over and I told him how unprofessional Lois was and he overlooked it and said the marks on the door still qualifies the fridge as being in satisfactory condition. I grew tired of explaining that the damage occurred after I purchased the fridge and told them to just wrap it up and I would figure it out another time. The movers carefully brought the 3x bubble wrapped fridge into my house and removed the wrap and plugged the fridge in. THE FRIDGE DOES NOT COME ON!!! I tried several outlets and used extension cords to other outlets and nothing. It is defective!!! All of the headache to purchase the fridge and no one in the store had even checked it to see if it worked before placing it for sale. I called the store…NO ANSWER! I could only reached the cal center who told me that I would have to return the fridge for a refund! Who will refund me for the pick up and delivery fee of $400??!!! I asked the call center to transfer me directly to the store and I left a voicemail and no return call has been mad to me. I am super upset and disappointed with this...
Read moreI'M ALWAYS AT BEST BUY, THE 4 STARS ARE USING THIS SHOPPING TRIP ALONE AS THE BASIS OF MY REVIEW This shopping trip, i feel, was perfect to review and point out strengths/flaws. Now, to the review! As I mentioned, I'm always here, I always need something, and if I'm not 100% ACE in knowing what I'm looking for, I don't take chances and go gather Intel first. For this trip, I came with 2 missions. MISSION #1 was to find a printer. I wanted one with a touch screen, wi-fi able, mobil app connection specs, with the functionality to not only serve all of my work needs, but be able to dual function as my crafts printer as well. MISSION #2 Check out the Samsung Galaxy watch 6 and see if it was the best decision to upgrade my Galaxy 5pro smartwatch... I walked around the store for a solid 35 minutes, asking several employees for help. If I wasn't ignored entirely, I was told that wasn't their department. They're on break, or they don't know much about "that stuff" once I was able to find an employee who took a second to listen to my needs prior to saying they can't help, let me tell you, this kid was phenomenal! I gave him the expectations and price range for the printer, and he didn't waste time showing me more expensive ones or anything. He immediately walked to one specific printer and said, "You want this one! Hands down, and it's less expensive than these ones that don't work half as good. " He was 1,000% on point! The Epson ecotank is my new bestie, lol. Now I don't have to spend a ton of time swapping my work printer and my craft printer for my small business making and selling various crafts and decor. When I said thank you and asked if he could recommend anyone, that would be as great as he was that works in the smart watches area. He marched over, and sure enough, he knew exactly what he was talking about with the watch, too. Best Buy may not hire the greatest employees or pay attention and make sure they're not just avoiding customers because it happens CONSTANTLY! However, when it comes to cross-training their employees, there appears to be a lot of thoroughness there. So, while I wish best buy workers didn't avoid customers like the plague, and really would like it if their in-stock items were more abundant and with better variety, but I love Best Buy! (For those wondering, I sought out a manager and immediately demanded they acknowledge that exceptional employee for his job performance.) Funny, 1 person can generate 4 stars. An entire store can underperform and...
