Moved to Braintree a month ago and have eaten here multiple times in person and delivery. These are the kind of people that remember your order. Staff is always super friendly in person and on the phone, no issues with orders or deliveries.
If you go in person on a average weeknight it is quiet inside. I’m haven’t gone there on a weekend where it tends to be packed. When we were there music was playing (not overly loud) and sports were playing on the tv screens. They have a nice looking bar that takes up almost 1/3 the place. I’m retested to go back on a busy night and check out the vibe. They have both a men’s and women’s restroom near the door. They share a parking lot with the church next door. Their prices are affordable and they do some nice specials that are actually worth the money (listed on the side of their take home menu)
Working my way though the menu I can highly recommend their pizzas of any kind, so far we have tried the pepperoni (spot on) and have ordered it multiple times. We also got a 1/2 black olive 1/2 anchovies with black olives. I occasionally like anchovies on my pizza. However, be aware that anchovies are very salty so you have to know what your getting into when you order them on a pizza. Expect to eat less pizza that you normally would for sheer salt overload. I liked it and would get it again, maybe with another topping added.
Calzones: friend buffalo chicken calzone is awesome. Have ordered multiple times. I wasn’t a fan of the chicken bacon ranch. It is a chicken/cheese/bacon calzone with ranch on the side. I expected more flavor/salt so I was a bit letdown in that department. My boyfriend had no complaints with it. Would not order again
Griddle subs: the steak and cheese with bacon was great. The meat was crumbles and still juicy. The roll was fresh and fluffy with that barley crunchy crust that’s to die for. Would order again
Gyros: the lamb gyro dinner sandwich was a really good meal. My boyfriend was skeptical because we had both had less than desirable lamb gyros before, but these lived up to the name. Would order again.
Overall great food and...
Read moreUnder new owners, the pizza is now much better. The crust, sauce and cheese is really good, but I have some critical suggestions that I think will make this a five star pizza joint: (example is for green pepper, onion and sausage pizza)
Oregano used is sub standard. Use a better brand and sparingly. Use no slices in toppings like tomato, onion and green pepper. These vegetables should be cubed or small pieces and more of them. Use crumbled sausage instead of thin slices.
The best pizza in the South Shore was Maria's Restaurant on Quincy Avenue, Quincy. They recently closed after 50 or so years, and since you do not have to compete with them any longer, you have an opportunity to take the top pizza spot in the surrounding towns. Choice is yours, and just...
Read moreThe first time we went we ordered what was supposed to be a large cheese pie. It was OK, crispy crust, flavor profile was OK. I was just annoyed at how small a $20 pizza was. Not to mention, the second time we went for the wings, the menu price for a large cheese pizza was way lower than the previous week. The only difference was we sat at a table as opposed to the bar. I’m not sure why prices would be higher at the bar. We also had a strawberry margarita and a bottled beer. Margarita was strong and sweet. We had the mango habanero wings and they were flavorful and juicy. Not too spicy at all. The fries however were super oily and had a weird flavor to them. The service here is always nice. The...
