I've been here multiple times and always been satisfied with my service and food. Parking is a free for all on the street, so be ready for humans dodging across the street and congesting traffic a little in the area. There is a tiny lot in the back, down the side street next to the shop that you can park in. However it is on a residential street so no street parking. Please don't block anyone in on that road, Just park on Cleland/Middle street, half on the sidewalk like most of the patrons. There is no place to sit and eat here so it is basically a 'walkthrough' coffee place. It doesn't have a huge 'franchise feel' so I have never seen it get insanely crowded like Dunks or Starbucks. Probably also because its in what looks like an average house that is just painted bright pink! The servers have always been patience, helpful and kind with me since they have so many options it can be hard to make up your mind. In fact - I'd say friendly service is one of the biggest parts of the appeal of Marylou's. It can be pricey, so overall I go here when I need a pick me up badly or want to treat myself. The neighborhood is nice to walk around with your coffee if you feel like exploring. There is a very small playground right down the road on Cleland if you wanted a place to sip while your kids play. Pond Meadow park is also nearby (Maybe a 4 minute drive) and a great place to enjoy nature while you...

Read moreI suppose knowing that Marylou’s is popular for their iced coffee beverages should have resulted in caution, but I figured I’d give it a couple attempts before judging. However, if you seek anything other than an iced coffee or whatever sugar fueled energy drink concoction, don’t bother. I’ve gone in for a latte on a few occasions, but now I know why it doesn’t taste right.
The poor baristas clearly have never been trained or infrequently practice making them. She poured cold milk into a cup, poured the shots into the cold milk, then frothed the espresso milk, then in a separate cup poured in the flavor and THEN poured in the frothed espresso milk—leaving almost half of the liquid behind, which means the shots I ordered were completely wasted. I honestly do not know what to make of this process except surprise that this is how the company has trained them to make it? Or perhaps it’s because they so rarely get someone who orders lattes that their espresso machine is more a decoration and shouldn’t even be available as an option for a beverage?
Regardless, do yourself a favor and just stick to their iced...
