Extremely dissatisfied, poor customer service. I was misled on the pricing out the door and once the final paperwork was received, additional tax and fees were added, despite my asking several times for the out the door price. I was sold a truck that will have avoided warranty if I attach a plow to it, despite me calling a plow place about transferring my plow from my old truck, while the salesperson listened to my call. My sales guy informed me a plow will fit on this truck. I was told that as a consumer I should know to ask the question if the truck can handle a plow. This was from “Bob” I just plow for my home, and would have never know to ask this. According to the sales person “Ethen and the manager, “Bob” this truck can handle a plow, in reality the manufacturer said Its not made for one. Interior was filthy upon picking it up, full of sand and dirt. They didn’t offer to clean it or fix it. Ethan said he would talk to the guys who clean it, like that would help. Upon picking it up, the truck was spilling windshield wiper fluid all over the street. I have called and emailed and I have yet to get a return call to schedule this to be fixed. The vehicle was purchased just after thanks giving and still no response after emailing and calling. Bob, the manager, as in multiple reviews on this page, refuses to quote me on a truck that will handle a plow, and actually said I was not the type of customer that he wants to do more business with, he told me never to come back. This guy is a disgrace to the company many people have had a bad experience with BOB, Robert Hensley, I am surprised with all the negative reviews with this guy he actually has a job there, which I’m sure he is hurting the company’s business. He is all about putting words in people’s mouths such as accusing me of things I didn’t say, He would say well “you said this, and you said that which isn’t true, an example would be this, I told Ethan my plans with the new truck, they told me this truck will be able to tow and plow, after I purchased it and found out it couldn’t plow they transferred me to Bob. Bob told me that when I went in there I was not looking for a truck to plow with, he told me if that was the case the sales team would have showed me a different truck, apparently Bob knew that this truck couldn’t handle a plow, Bob also advised me he listened to our whole conversation with the salesman and I was in the wrong. I am now stuck with a truck that does not meet my needs, and like other reviews here, I am without a dealership to return to as well, not that I would ever do business with them as long as “Bob” is there, whoever owns this place read the reviews about him, It’s not only me who had problems with him. Still no response from the sales team over this simple situation. Still its almost 2021 and no response about the windshield wiper issue over a month later after reaching out to them they wont respond back. If they knew this truck couldn’t handle a plow they should have said that instead of finding out later on after the sale. Are you guys ever going to call me back? If this place communicated with the customer I wouldn’t be explaining in detail about this place but people should know what to expect and many more had the...
Read moreAt first I was very happy with our experience. We were looking to trade in our old truck for a more reliable truck as we have a baby on the way. We were happy with the trade in value even tho it didn’t quite cover the pay off quote, but the trade in wasn’t the nicest which we made clear. The trade in quality wasn’t a problem as they really wanted to make the sale and gain a customer base after reopening. We were told the used vehicle we were getting only had one small issue, and they knew the previous owner and said it was always taken care of very well. We signed the papers anyways because we were in love with the truck and the price was decent. Turns out it needed a wiring harness, which they replaced. This wasn’t the end of the world but a slight inconvenience as we were told it’s a small issue and we’d have the truck in just a few short days. So we got the trade in ready which required taking all of the fire lights and sirens out. So for three weeks we didn’t have lights or sirens for any fire calls which was a pain but still not the end of the world. They didn’t tell us what the issue was as to why it was taking so long to fix. We ended up talking to a worker in service who was very kind and told us it’s the wiring harness. The service worker also tried to get us new tires as the ones with the truck were very low on tread. It took a few weeks but we finally got the truck. It unfortunately had the same tires and we discovered more obvious issues that night. There was a strong smell of coolant as soon as the heat was turned on, come to find out it needs a heater core. The steering wheel jerks like crazy and any little bump while going over 45 sends the truck into a death wobble so bad you have to come to a complete stop. This truck is unfortunately not safe for a baby, especially in the winter without heat. A couple months after the sale the tires started to bald and the truck is only driven about 20 miles a day. I called the next day since we picked it up at night right as the workers were leaving. After I called we were no longer allowed to communicate with the worker who made the sale and they word for word told us the deal is even since we gave them a trade in that isn’t the best even tho we voiced twice with the sales person the flaws the trade in truck had. We called the nice man working in service for advice who was upset we were in this position and agreed that we shouldn’t be receiving a truck with surprise issues. After several calls we were offered zero help. Now we are stuck with a truck that was supposed to be safe and reliable for our family but won’t be until we save up lots of money for the repairs. We were promised a “free” warranty through ram” and signed papers but after picking up the truck we were told we actually didn’t get the warranty. I of course wanted copies of the warranty papers we signed but they refused to give them to us since “it doesn’t matter anymore”. I’ve never had a poor experience buying a vehicle until I went to this dealership. Unfortunately I’ve heard stories from quite a few locals who also will never step foot in there again due to the...
Read moreSummary – Make McGee CDJR of Brattleboro your FIRST stop if you’re looking for a vehicle!
I had been in the market for a used heavy duty pickup truck for a few months when I came across one at McGee CDJR of Brattleboro. There was only a stock photo of the truck available on their website at the time since they had just taken it in on trade. Since I live about an hour away, I submitted a request for some pictures through their website. That is where SAM COOPER, a client advisor at McGee CDJR, comes in! Within a very short amount of time from my online inquiry, Sam responded back to me with a personalized video walk-around of the outside and inside of the truck, as well as a few pictures, original window sticker, original vehicle brochure and a chart with estimated payments with several payment scenarios for me to review. I made a call to him and setup a time to meet first thing the very next morning. When I arrived at McGee CDJR, the dealership was super clean, bright and well organized. Sam graciously met me at the door, introduced himself with a smile and a firm handshake! Before we got started, he offered me something to drink from their selection of complimentary hot & cold beverages which was nice. The truck was on the side of the building waiting for me to check it out. Sam was very accommodating, informative and helpful with all of my questions as I looked over the truck and took it for a test drive. The truck I was looking at checked most of my boxes and more! Sam, Chris and Jenn were an absolute pleasure to work with as we went through the very smooth, no pressure process of purchasing this truck at a very reasonable price that other dealers in my surrounding area wasn’t matching for similar trucks I was looking at. I got a good value for my trade too! They reviewed several finance options to get me the best interest rate as well. They had to still run the truck through the shop since they had just taken it in to ensure everything was proper order as well as take care of a few additional agreed upon items. During this time Sam was very responsive and kept me informed along the way. McGee even delivered my “new to me” truck to my work an hour and a half away to seal the deal!. The entire staff at McGee is friendly, accommodating, professional and courteous. Like others have said, McGee CDJR is a breath of fresh air when it comes to auto dealerships, especially this day in age. This was easily at the top of my vehicle buying experiences I’ve had in my many years of buying cars & trucks. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a new or used vehicle in state or out of state to see Sam Cooper at McGee CDJR of Brattleboro! I definitely look forward to doing business them again...
