We have visited here twice now, with only one week between orders. The only thing we've tried is the pepperoni pizza. It was so good that we haven't branched out yet, but we will! The crust isn't too think or too thin, sitting pretty in the Goldilocks zone of pizza crusts. They also put on the perfect amount of cheese- no cheeseless spots in site! The sauce is probably the best tasting that I've had in this area. There are two specifics about this pizza you should know. First, the pepperoni is plentifully placed between layers of cheese, so they are not easily picked off by non-pepperoni eaters. This is, however, awesome for those of us who enjoy it. Secondly, the circular pizza is cut into squares, which is novel and kind of fun. You can choose if you want a crusty bit or a crustless bit. My children love this feature since they are picky beyond measure and their snoots immediately go up to the idea of eating crust. Downside- they don't have ranch dressing to entice said picky children into eating crusty bits. I did ask about grinders (they have many tasty-looking options) and discovered they do put these in the pizza oven. Um...yum! Two family-sized one topping pizzas cost $46.00, and I'll pay it again to support this restaurant. The employees are kind and helpful; they seem like really good people. I can't wait to try some other items from their menu, including the giant pieces of baklava that have been calling to me from the counter. I don't think I can resist that for much longer! When I first went in last week the woman who rang me up (the owner?) said with confidence, "First time here? You'll be back." Well, yes ma'am, you were so very correct! And I'll be seeing...
Read moreWhen I was much younger, my family used to travel a lot from CT to northern NH and Brattleboro was always a half-way stop in our travels. Around 17yrs ago we had stumbled into Brattleboro Village Pizza for a quick bite to eat right off the highway (I91), but after trying their meatball grinders, this stop soon became a family tradition everytime we traveled to and from NH. Everyone who happened to be traveling with us would hear about these "famous" meatball grinders. In 2009, my family left CT and moved to NH full-time. Since we weren't back and forth between CT and NH anymore we weren't really around Brattleboro as much. Fast forward to now and I recently took on a job that requires me to travel all over New England. My travels recently took me right through Brattleboro and I knew I just had to stop for one of those meatball grinders. Walking in the restaurant after so many years, just took me right back to my childhood. Hearing the owners speak Greek just warmed my soul. It felt like home. So many great family memories were made here. And the baklava!!! Done right!!! After all these years and so many life changes, it is a blessing to know this place is still up and running and has remained authentic. And the meatball grinders are still the greatest I've ever had!! Everytime I've walked in there I've always been greeted and everytime I've walked out I've always been thanked. My sincere thank you to the owners for all your hard work over the years and dedication to your business and customers. Keep...
