99 Restaurants — Restaurant in Brattleboro

We'd been seeing these 99 Restaurants on our trip through the northeast and decided that this was where we wanted to feast as our last hoorah traveling through Vermont. Established as the "sit-down", casual dining experience, we'd figured we had better try it before we left. The building was quite modern on the outside. The parking situation was a bit unique, but nothing far from a Chili's or similar place. An oversight on my part was that online they mentioned about "family packs", where one could buy three of their burgers and and order of chicken fingers in a bundle, but this is only for pickup (or I presume delivery with stuff like DoorDash). We decided against the appetizers mainly because the prices were a little higher than we were accustomed to. We went right into the main courses. While I'll say the burgers were quite fine — KidMDK gave it a 7, DCFuse a 7, I gave it about a 7.5 mostly because of uniqueness — they were slightly warm and not as good as we thought they could have been. Not horrible by any means, just okay. We had the Vermont Cheddar with the cheddar and bacon, sans fried onions. My daughters had lobster rolls, each of the kinds they had on the menu. They claimed they were good, but not absolutely raving about them. The fun part was the friendly staff and the popcorn they serve while you wait, another reason we skipped the appetizer. I wont be visiting or ordering again. I online ordered. I got to the restaurant. The pick up parking spaces were full so i had to park about 5 spaces away. Confirmed online i was there. And waited. I waited 20 mins. Nothing. I call Im told its my fault i didnt park correctly. I said i Confirmed i was there. They told me they couldnt see me on camera so couldnt help me and hung up on me. Didnt take my name didnt bring my food. I had to wait even longer to wait for a space to be available to park in the correct spot because no one would help me 5 spaces down. I paid more then 70 dollars for food that was soggy and cold by the time i even got it. Have you ever seen soggy fish tacos? Sounds gross right? Imagine being served it. Heck the soda was the only thing remotely warm. I paid 70 dollars to throw most of it away. My kids wouldnt even eat half of theres either. I was just trying to do something easy and special with my family's dinner for the night. Curbside because then i didnt have to drag 2 kids out of carseats and into the restaurant for pick up. I thought i was making it convenient all around. My kids wouldnt be crying and disturbing other diners and i didnt need to haul them out of the car. I am soo beyond disappointed. Oh ya and i was forced to pay 9dollars for a tip that was so unearned its ridiculous. Oh ya heres some money for being rude jerks and NOT doing your job Ya...

I'd give negative ratings if possible. Last night, is the last time I'll be eating at the place. I ordered at 8:30pmand requested delivery. I called the restaurant at 9:10p asking if my food was on the way due to the website not updating. I was told they were busy, and it wouldn't be too much longer. At 9:45p I was called by 99 telling me my food hadn't been picked up and I needed to contact Doordash. Doordash works with 99 to deliver. The woman didn't know that and argued saying I was wrong. The manager took over the phone and said my food was sitting there for 1hr 20 mins by then, and said nobody had accepted my order for pickup. Suddenly someone from Doordash showed up, they said they remade food. By 1030p I got a text from the driver saying food was on the way. It took them over 30 Mins to get to my town. They left it at the wrong door. Once I finally received my food. It was cold. The chicken was dry and chewy, the mashed potatoes were old looking. The burger was tasteless and fries overcooked. Soups were thankfully what soup is supposed to be like,except cold. We didn't eat until 11:30p after reheating the food. Don't order from here if you hope for good food on a Friday night. Nobody from the restaurant has gotten back to me. $50 in food including a $7.50 delivery fee. Waste of time, food, and...
