We ate at the restaurant and had a terrible experience. We came as a party of 11. Our friends just got married and made a reservation in advance online for the wedding party. A confirmation was never sent to the bride. She had to call to confirm they still had our reservation locked in.We went to eat and off the bat I knew things would go wrong. Our server asked if we needed menus, did not ask if it was our first time eating there (it was), and did not make sure to address the whole table when giving information. I had to ask other members of the table what was being said. Next, we ordered food. I have to say, the menu is very pricey for what they offered and it is pretty limited. Most of our party ordered burgers (priced at $18) including my boyfriend. I ordered the short rib ravioli (priced at $36). My boyfriend and I also ordered two appetizers. Now they told us that food comes out as it is ready. Okay, understandable especially when the kitchen area did not look large enough to hold orders. While we waited for our food, my boyfriend asked for straws from our server. She never brought them. He had to get up out of his seat to retrieve another server to deliver us straws after waiting for 10 minutes. Mind you, the restaurant was not busy. I saw staff standing around the bar chit chatting. Okay so my food starts to come out first. The server continued to deliver my plates to the other side of the table. Super frustrating. So I start to eat in order to clear space for our entrees. They bring out my dinner first. For a $36 plate, I expect two things: either plenty of food or a flavorable dish. My dinner was neither of those. I have no problems paying well over that amount for a dish. What I do have a problem with is when it's bland AND I get a 4oz piece of braised short rib with only TWO pieces of ravioli. I asked for salt and pepper to make the meal passable. Okay so everyone starts to get their food. My boyfriend's burger was undercooked. He ordered medium well, they gave him medium-medium rare. He also commented on how bland it was. Another person's burger had way too much pepper. As we eat, I notice our server (or any other for that matter) never came to check on us or refilled our waters. The person with too much pepper on his burger had no water to drink. I also ended up not having water. My boyfriend attempted to flag down a waiter twice (quite loudly) and we were ignored. Others at the table ended up giving us THEIR waters because no one showed up. Finally, after everyone was pretty much finished with their meals, the waitress comes over and asks how the food was. My boyfriend mentions his burger was undercooked and I tell her my food was "Meh, okay" to which she replies "Oh, okay." At that point I ask for refills for the entire table. In our party, we had someone pregnant who unfortunately had an adverse reaction to the smell of the food she ordered. The took that meal off and she ordered Mac n Cheese and Vegetables. They bring her a bowl of shells in a cheese sauce and... wait for it... A BOWL OF PEAS. The hell?? Okay - so we get the bill. They billed us on ONE check and tell us that they don't split checks. Um...no one thought to inform us of this? So we speak to the server and let her know that had we KNOWN this, people may have ordered differently. The server tells us to figure out how to split the checks ourselves so she can put it into the computer. WHAT? On top of that, they automatically added a 22% gratuity to our check?? I think not. So we request to speak to a manager. The "manager" tells us that on the BOTTOM OF THE MENU is where we are informed of the check policy. Oh - I had no idea there was a TERMS OF CONDITION we needed to read to dine there. Wow. She also completely disregarded all of the other issues (named above) that we explained to her. So they finally split our checks (still did it wrong by billing food on incorrect checks). No apologies, nothing. We promptly left without purchasing items from the store (including bottles of bourbon and souvenirs that we intended...

We were rushed and clearly unwanted guest. Super weird and uncomfortable experience. Made a reservation for five people, just for drinks, because we had tried to get in a couple days before but they had no table. Our server told us at the very beginning the kitchen was closing soon, so we needed to order quickly. We told him that was fine we just wanted a couple drinks no food. He checks his phone (did this after talking to us almost every time) doesn't take our drink order, and then leaves. We sat there until his manager saw us.

Later he comes back and told us they were technically closed so I asked "just the kitchen right? Or the bar too" and he just say "we could get you some drinks" . That answer didn't tell me if the kitchen was closed like he has said several times before or if they were fully closed the restaurant bar included.

And then his manager came over and they both kinda flanked us at the table, I felt very uncomfortable, and his manager reiterated that the kitchen was closing and we needed to put our food order in. So basically our server went and told him, we weren't ordering and brought him over, after we had already told our server several we did not want food. We told the manager we did not want food, and he was fine with this and left, but the server was still there and asked "so are you getting food?" I honestly don't know how many times we told him we didn't want food just drinks.

I don't know why he wasn't actually listening to us. It was very clear he wanted us to leave. We literally had one drink were there for 30ish minutes, not even an hour. Two people in our group were late and felt so uncomfortable they didn't even want to finish their drinks they just wanted to leave.

The server did make us check out early because he had to go on break, and that if we wanted more it would be under a different server. This is fine everyone needs a break and we didn't care about switching servers. However if he could do that why was he acting like we were keeping him? And why was he not listening to us/ask if we wanted food, if he was ready to leave no food would be easier and quicker for him? Also why allow reservation 30 minutes before closing? The drinks were good and we just wanted to...

Went to The Breckenridge Distillery for my husband's birthday. If you plan on going make a reservation. You can make the reservation via their webpage. Despit looking huge from the outside, the seating area inside is smaller. The high ceilings I think give this sense that it is really big. Love the decor - natural wood, and metal dominate the interior with one area (bar) having glass garage doors that they open up in the summer. The other area adjacent to the bar where you can also eat has an entire wall of white subway tile. The artworknis electic which pays homage to the likes of Star Wars, Wu Tang, and Steve Zissou. The service even when busy is good. We try and stop in each time we happen to be in town. We started with the Obi Wan Old Fashioned. I love this particular cocktail because of the brandy soaked cherry at the bottom. The Distillery only serves liquor based drinks from their own brand. You will not find wine or beer here. Their drink menu is well thought out and has many bourbon and vodka craft cocktails. We had the octupus appetizer along with the clothesline bacon. Both were amazing. The bacon is tasty, it hits onnthe sweet, salty, and savory all at once. The octupus looks like a work if art when presented on the plate and it was well cooked and not rubbery! I had the rigatoni bolognese and my husband had the pork chop. The bolognese was flavorful and the pasta was al dente. The pork chop was served with a corn fritter and seasonal vegetable medley. Both mains were great. All of the dishes that are served here can be shared, so don't feel bad about asking for plates to share. The menu changes seasonally which I appreciate because you always have an opportunity to try something new. For dessert we had a banana chocolate torte that came with a scoop of homemade vanilla ice cream. I also asked for a scoop of the vegan chocolate ice cream. The torte was amazing and creamy. But for me, I really enjoyed the vegan chocolate ice cream. It was all served in the same plate with cookie crunch beneath. It is very rich a couple of bites and you are good. The meal was not cheap, but it...

This was a fantastic surprise. We were on a guys trip and this was on their must-visit list, it did not disappoint. Our 2:00 visit was for happy hour- we didn’t know most make reservations. Thankfully, there were enough seats available at the bar. The happy hour menu was simple but excellent- specifically pricing. Both drinks and entrees were incredibly reasonable and portions weren’t skimpy. Items are a la cart, but sides are very shareable. We got the 420 tots, and they were 10/10. We got different entrees, the smashburger, orange chicken, and steak melt sandwich. All three are excellent but I feel like the stand-out was the steak melt. It was tender, moist and perfectly simple. I would 100% buy again. Also, sitting at the bar was a great experience s as you see the care, freshness, and attention to detail is on full display. Specifically, the poke bowl and ribs will be on my next visit. I’m not any authority on whiskeys, but others thoroughly enjoyed the old fashioned that was one of the three specials. At the time of writing, all 3 special drinks were only $10 each. Again, a stellar value. Previous to this visit, I hadn’t had many dining experiences that would be on my must-visit list for Breck/Dillon/Frisco (other than Windy City Pizza). This will a staple on that list for sure.

Phenomenal mountain eating. Great staff, wonderful menu and delicious cocktails. They try hard to be helpful and attentive. The food is superb and the menu rotates frequently

First time at Breckenridge Distillery even though we are already big fans of the whiskey! We enjoyed the craft fair which they set up in the barrel room. It was so cool to see all of these aged barrels lined up from floor to ceiling. We had some delicious and expertly crafted cocktails while perusing the crafts and then we decided to go on a tour. Our tour guide (pardon, I forgot his name - he was entertaining and very knowledgeable) took us around the distillery and gave us tastings of all the products. He turned me onto the Espresso Vodka which was smooth, smoky, and would taste incredible in a White Russian or just on its own. We also bought some barrel aged coffee beans which we enjoy on the weekends now. We stayed for dinner: the thick cut hipster fries really hit the spot with the blistered shisito peppers; the truffle Mac and cheese was unctuous and full of umami: the chicken was cooked perfectly; and the caramelized bananas on the cake were like little crème brûlée’s. Needless to say, we walked out like happy piggies and had to get a bottle of the 105 proof and some glasses to enjoy at home. The staff was attentive and very dedicated to their respective crafts. Thanks for making our Sunday so fun and memorable!
