I am DISGUSTED, DISAPPOINTED, DISTURBED AND ANGRY at how i was responded too at this store tonight!
I originally bought two mirrors at the Cherry Hill store on 7/9/20 and since i was unsure as to which one would accurately fit and look right in my bathroom I ask the cashier what is your policy for me to return the one i do not want. The response was 'you have 60 days with your receipt to return it. Although at the time of the purchase it was damaged at which time the cashier acknowledged it's state and gave me a 25% discount because of it's condition.
However, once I got home it appeared it was really unrepairable so I tried to see if i can locate it at another store. I called this store in Brick, NJ and spoke to Susan who once i gave her the upc# she went and looked for it and found it and left my name on it to picked up by me within 24 hours. At that time i explained the situation about the mirror being "beat up" a bit and i would rather exchange it for the same one just in a better condition. She agreed and even extended the hold time because of the tropical storm we were having.
Well instead of wating until Saturday, i went after work and went Friday night in the heavy rain, 1 1/2 hours there and 1 1/2 hours back!
I get to the store explain that i had an mirror being held for me in the back. I was asked my name by the cashier and she went to obtain it. When she came back after about 10 minutes it was the same mirror, in perfect condition but bronze and not the silver i had and wanted. So i said i will just go look either for the same one in the mirror section or find a new one. Which i was highly prepared to pay the difference on the exchange. I get back to the register, now being helped by Barbara and i explained to her the situation that i wanted to exchange the mirror for the other one and i have the receipt. She looked at the mirror and said this is really damaged, and I said I know that's why the other store gave me an additional discount to the mirror that was already marked down 50% off. Than she went on to ask me was it in an box, i said no it was brought just like that (MANY of your clearance items don't come in packaging) So Barbara says we don't take back clearance items they are final sale, then she says let me go ask. She then goes to Jon (Manager) who starts asking me the same questions as her and now he begins to tell me 'we don't take back clearance red line itens' and i say to him, then why would Cherry Hill AtHome store advised that i can if i really couldn't? He says I don't know and then barbara says 'you going to have to take it back to the store you brought it from".
The situation to me was getting out of hand with them both not trying to resolve the situation. So i just ask for my receipt back and got my mirror and left.
They had no concern in the world to try to assist me in anyway possible, especially after I told Jon i just drove an hour and ten minutes to get there. This situation was humiliating and embarrassing especially since i am a black woman and they are Caucasian and as I told him i felt discriminated against due to my race. It is situations like this that prompts you to get a Lawyer and take legal action. I am certain that if i was there same nationality they would have had no problem what so ever exchanging my mirror!
And what's more disturbing is I had my receipt, the item has your tag on the back. It just sad to be treated this way and I NEVER expect to go back into your store again. I will remain a loyal online buyer.
I am normally not a reviewer, but this was truly unacceptable and unnecessary. I came home and viewed their website policy which only says "returns within 60 days...

Outdated Stone Age policies towards coupons.
We are new to the Brick, NJ area and recieved in the mail, a new homeowner catalog with a 15% coupon.
We have purchased many items here at this store a month or 2 ago and really didn't need anything else. But the coupon spark us to go to the Brick, NJ store and look around..... Yesterday, Sunday, September 20th 2020
We ended up finding a bunch of stuff and spent almost $150 While at the register, we realized that we left the coupon home. At first the cashier did not know what we were talking about.... but the manager over heard us and she came over. She said that we need the actual coupon to give you credit for it.
I understood and asked... So all we need to do is bring back the coupon with the receipt? Both the Cashier and Manager confidently said, "Yes".
So we go home and unwrap all of the items we bought. Hang some of them up.... roast some marshmallows with the skewers we bought. Then we throw all the packaging out and put the garbage to the curb for pick up today.
So we bring the coupon and receipt back today, September 21st 2020.
The same exact Cashier we had less than 24hrs ago.... Told us that we need to bring all of the items back. They then have to be returned... Then repurchased with the coupon.
We told her that yesterday when we asked you.... "So all we need to do is bring back the coupon with the receipt?" You and your Manager both said, "Yes". I then proceeded to tell her... that would have been a good time to explain that your store has a ridiculous policy for applying coupons... and we actually need the items returned then repurchased. We actually would of went home immediately got the coupon and then came back.
Keep your $20. Obviously you need it more than we do. Maybe you can invest it into some educational classes on the basics of customer service. There is nothing in your store that I can't buy online else where.
Have a Magnificent Day!

Read moreWhile it rained this Thursday in September, we decided to explore this store for some home and outdoor merchandise. As I was searching for a lamp or star, I asked the associate I could plug the lamp in to see the light effect. She looked at me and asks where the bulb? I noticed the lamp vase was cracked and bulb housing was broke off and continued conversation with her asking do they have any stores in PA. She answered that all stores were down in this area. I searched my phone and saw there is a location in the big mall in Whitehall. I added a few items to my online cart and decided to look for an outdoor umbrella. There were these 50% off outdoor and patio merchandise. After picking out one and a few matching cushions, headed to check out. 6 customers in line, one cashier open and after half hour, that same associate opened her cashier lane and called me up. She mentioned a total amount and I questioned the 50% off signs all over the seasonal merchandise and she told me it's just the items with RED STICKERS! I asked if there was a small % off with new members email sign ups and she said just with opening credit cards. I asked if I could speak to a manager and she tells me she one of two managers. I decided do cancel the sale and leave it all behind due to that snippy and salty interaction. I didn't get her name but she's not pleasant and should learn some...
