I never felt so uncomfortable in a establishment in my home state, until I went here to celebrate mine, my aunt, and my mother's birthday since it actually was tonight. The only positive comment I can honestly give about this restaurant is that the wait was quick, and our server for the night was very pleasant. However, for some reason we had 3 different people come to our table to take our order besides our original server. She would take our order with no problem, then another woman who didn't seem to be in uniform with a very thick accent, would come behind her a few moments later and would take our orders again... but would seem to continue to get my mother's order wrong mutiple times. The original server came back to tell us that the lady with the accent changed the order for some reason. I felt horrible for my mom. I didn't understand why this continued to happen. Towards the end of our meal, we asked if there were a birthday desert special for 3 people who's actual birthdays were only a few days apart? Mine was 2/5/20,my aunt 2/7/20, and my mother's 2/8/20. The server said yes and that she would inform the chef. The lady with the accent comes to the table moments later and questions us about the request. My aunt asked her if she wanted our license? She said no, but she'll see what she can do. Time went by and no one came back for a while to our table. By this time, we had decided enough was enough and we really just wanted the check so we could leave. The lady with the accent comes back and tells us we're only getting one cake. My aunt told her politely that it was okay at this point we'd really would like the check please. She continued to explain there can only be one cake, and we still declined politely due to the fact that it would go to my mom and she couldn't have it since she was diabetic. The lady with the accent wouldn't take no for an answer, which became very comfortable especially for my mom, but soon finally gave us our check after we mentioned more then once my mother was diabetic. The nice server came to our table and apologized for the service. We of course gave her a $20 tip, because she was fantastic, and told her we understood it was the lady with the accent that continued to...
Read moreMy wife Mary Ann and I went to Bonefish Grill in Brick NJ on Ocotber 14 to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. We were greeted by Savannah who pleasantly escorted us to our table. In a few seconds our server Sean came over and introduced himself to us. He had a very nice demeanor and was a very pleasant young man. We ordered drinks and when he returned with them my wife mentioned it was our 30th wedding anniversary. Next thing you know a bubbly employee named Cara brought us two complimentary flutes of champagne and a sign for the table saying Happy Anniversary! Cara chatted with us for a bit and she brought out a very comfortable vibe. How nice it was to be fussed over! Sean came over when the food came to the table. I enjoyed my rainbow trout and my wife her crab cakes. Sean popped by and we were able to have a nice conversation as he and my wife are dog lovers and also my wife loves his hair! We asked Savannah our host to have the manager come to the table and not for a complaint. Stacey showed up in a very short while. We wanted to let her know how special we felt by the little things they had done for us. She said the pleasure was all hers, and you know what? I believe her. I asked Sean for the check and he came with two complimentary brownies in honor of our anniversary and a little ice cream as well which we took home to the grandchildren. Our gratitude was reflected in the tip and the fact that we personnally thanked the four people who crossed our path at the Bonefish Grill in Brick NJ today. I thought this review was worthy of my time as they felt we were worthy of theirs. We will...
Read moreWe haven’t been to Bonefish since before Covid and we were never disappointed in the past. That being said, there were plenty of servers and other workers so service shouldn’t have been a problem. We had 6:30 reservations and were seated at 6:25. After 15 minutes my husband asked one of the workers if she could find our server. He came over and apologized and said he would be back in a minute. After 5 minutes he came back and took our drink, app, and dinner orders. A few minutes later he came over to our table and I asked him if I could have a glass of water. He came over to tell us they ran out of martini glasses so he couldn’t get us our drinks. I noticed that there were two empty martini glasses at the tables surrounding us that had been there since we were seated but I guess that solution was over his head. My husband ordered wine so not sure why he didn’t bring his drink over. A few minutes later (after being there 30 minutes) he bought our bang bang shrimp app over and my husband asked where our drinks were. Still no martini glasses. He asked if we could at least get glasses of water to drink with our app but we were told they ran out of water glasses. My husband asked to speak to the manager but at that point we had enough, left, and went to our favorite local restaurant where they had plenty of glasses, great service, and fantastic food. When we left at 7:00 the hostess/manager offered us a new server but at this point we had enough. We are so disappointed in Bonefish as we used to enjoy it but don’t...
