Extremely aggressive , hostile, nasty owner. Lied about his schedule, didn’t communicate, screamed and yelled at me after asking a question about his service. Threw a full blown temper tantrum. Overcharged me. This guy doesn’t know how to run his business and needs anger management counseling.
I had a 9am appointment to get an installation , the owner called me late the night before and asked me to drop it off that night. when I asked his gauge of timeline for getting this done he said no idea he had ALOT of work to get done and Made it sound like it wouldn’t take until after the weekend. I had to get a 30$ uber from the shop and had call out of work for the entire next day.
He then called me the next day at 8am that it was ready and I had to hurry to come get it because HE was leaving for an appointment in the afternoon. Another 30$ uber. When I got there I told him I had no issue dropping it off as early as needed (same as said on the phone) and I would wait at the shop for him to finish, its a quick 1 hour install, since he had known he would have been finished early afternoon regardless.
After I said this he completely lost his mind. started yelling at me about how he had to work on his cars until 9pm the night previous and that he had to get up at 6am. He continued to scream and yell at me about how I was being argumentative and badgering him (I had only mentioned in passing I wish I knew so I could have just stayed at the shop) he proceeded to throw his hands everywhere, get extremely aggressive, retreated into the back garage mid sentence while still screaming and yelling about me. He was gone for about 3 minutes and came back still yelling and aggressive. I told him I appreciated him getting it done and understand he has alot of work to do (apparently he is the only person on the planet with a career). He THEN over charged me for the install. and tried to withhold the receipt. The “receipt” i received didn’t have my name or services on it. This turned from a 160$ service into a 250$ service solely based on how he conducts his business. Pitiful.

I made an appointment in person with him a month ago. By the time of schedule, we drove two cars there, so that I could have a ride back. He told me I was not on his schedule. I was mad but I accepted it, so I made another schedule with him. He told me he prefers on weekday because Saturday is his short day. But he let me had the appointment on Saturday, the 20th which is 2 weeks later, because I told him I didn’t have the ride during the week. A few days later after making the 2nd time appointment, I found my ride during the week, so I think to be nice if he prefers on weekday, I can make it. So, I called him, and he told me I can drop off my car on Thursday and he can do it on Friday. For the prior experience, I called him again on Wednesday to confirm on Friday and drop off on Thursday. He told me again he had me down on the 20th, the Saturday. I was pissed, so I told him I talked to you just 2 days ago and you told me you can do it on Friday.
He started his tantrum and told me he is just one person, how busy he is, many people want to install remote starter because of the cold weather bra bra bra, and he said I drove him crazy a few times!!

Read moreJason did a fantastic job installing a double din head unit in my car, so I took my car, again, to Jason to have a backup camera installed. In both cases, he exceeded my expectations. The stereo looks like it came with the car, and he took the time and made the effort to be sure that everything was perfect. With the backup camera, there was a small obstacle to overcome owing to the difference in design of the camera and the car. I suggested to Jason that he could take a shortcut, if it made the install easier. He adamantly opposed my suggestion, and insisted on making the effort to do it the "best" way, not the "fastest." This attitude is very rare in this day and age, and is a great example of why Jason has so many loyal repeat customers, myself included. This is the kind of guy who you feel lucky to have found, and who you can trust and recommend without hesitation. I give Sound Waves an enthusiastic 5-star rating. Look no further, you simply won't find anyone who will do a better job.
Edited to include a repeat business review: I've had my vehicles taken care of at Sound Waves multiple times, and each time Jason has exceeded my expectations. Not only does he do a fast, excellent job, but he also provides crucial advice based on his longtime experience. His ability to forecast needs or conflicts and resolve them is indispensable and, in my experience, rare to find. It's the only place I'll take my car(s).
