WORST SCHOOL EVER….Julie who is the head of nursing program was a compete nightmare to deal with she would constantly lie and she showed you how much she didn’t care ….the school thrives of drama and bullying ….this is by far the worst school I ever attended ….literally anyone can go there ….the school is so unorganized and untruthful with clinical hours….the teachers don’t know how to teach and the nursing director is no different they don’t care about you …..I walked in there with the same knowledge I walked out with a WASTE OF TIME I had to teach myself everyday ,they lost track of clinical hours and have you repeat hours you did and you can’t say anything about it because they will retaliate against you .truly if you want to be nurse go elsewhere ….it’s crazy to think they are suppose to make the future nurses and they don’t teach them anything,they let students cheat or policy’s only apply to certain people LORD I PRAY FOR THIS ORGANIZATION everything is a joke people are cheating on exams and they turn a blind eye just so they can get as much money from you .imagine everyday waking up walking in this school crying not knowing what your going to do with your life…they play with your life ….julie exercised her power by threatening us with emergency hours she would loses track of clinical hours and fail us…knowing you attended …if she didn’t like you she used her power over you making your time miserable it was never about academics .imagine being so committed that you quit your job to be there …& everyday you walking on eggshells because of random policy’s they would make up ,they use the fact that you want to be a nurse a tool ….this school was a complete nightmare and a joke …. she would turn a blind eye to things you complain on….. I honestly thank God for this experience not only did it make me stronger but it gave me a voice to speak against this school and its structure ,at times I felt ashamed to be wearing the logo believe every negative review trust me we lived it , experience it lucky I was able to get out of there and complain somewhere else …..I’m currently pursuing my bachelors and in an accelerated program I remember leaving this school due to all the torment i gave them 7 months of hard work and was forced to leave wit no plan ….I felt like totally giving up on dreams and God pushed to apply for my BSN and I got in ,I remember when I applied here it was out of fear that I could be a RN man look at GOD and it been 6 months since leaving and it has been the most refreshing experience of my life , staff at my school support you, they help you with your every need, the students are respectful and helpful ,no drama ….there’s so much structure and the teachers care about you and I'm learning so much …they make you a confident nurse, my school is sooo gorgeous and very professional GOD shows me everytime why he is GOD Do your research and go for your RN ….pay attention to the signs …don’t waste your time here I remember Julie looked me in my eyes and told me I would never be a nurse that’s when I knew to give it up and Give it to God and it’s been a blessing ever since God knew the pain and torment I experienced but I never gave up ….she gave me soooo much motivation to be a nurse that day and keep going ….this school showed me why I needed to be a nurse, people like that shouldn’t be around people, at there most vulnerable times ….never let someone control your destiny ….she tried so hard to make me miserable but I was always smiling I hide it all and look at me now top of my class in a bachelors of nursing program SO THANK YOU PORTER CHESTER AND JULIE this made me stronger and me go harder , you can take opportunities away but never education …I used my grades from this program/previous colleges in my nursing interview and this story and got in ,this is a testimony about my experience here and a WARNING TO ALL THE GIRLS/MEN THINKING OF BEING A NURSE please do yourself a favor and DO NOT APPLY hopefully this helped someone...

I personally don't like to write a bad review; however, I am doing this because this school is too horrible. I was an LPN student with this school, I enrolled with Hamden campus, but my clinical site was under Bridgeport campus. I will start with my clinical side. Mrs. Sibilio was one of my temporary clinical teachers. She was only my temporary teacher for 3 days, but she made my life miserable. As my first clinical term, my permanent clinical teacher always put 2 students in a team to take care of a patient. Unfortunately, on that day, Mrs. Sibilio put me to take care of a completely disabled patient by myself. This is a big challenge for me and therefore, I made a mistake. Student making a mistake is a kind of normal thing because no student is perfect and never makes a mistake. However, just because of this mistake, Mrs. Sibilio not only emailed my permanent clinical teacher to complain about me, but also CC whole leadership in Bridgeport and Hamden campus. Mrs. Sibilio was only my clinical teacher for 3 days and I don't know why she hates me this badly? I saw some of my classmates also made mistakes, but she always corrected them in a very nice manner. Not only this, Mrs. Sibilio also slandered me by telling my classmates something I never ever did before and her purpose is to make my classmate hate me. Therefore, one of my classmates embarrassed me in front of the whole class. Mrs. Sibilio is also a psychologist. Her job is to make people feel better, but she completely stressed me out during those 3 days. So, either as a nursing teacher or psychologist, she is very unprofessional. Mrs. Rodriguez, Jessca was my permanent clinical teacher. She treated me a little bit better than Mrs. Sibilio, but her leadership skill is very poor. One day she embarrassed me in front of the whole class by saying I faked my arrival time on a signed sheet, basically calling me a liar. I said I didn't and then she was very rude to me by saying "I DON'T WANT TO HEAR ANYTHING FROM YOU". Later on, I pulled her aside and asked her to show me any evidence that I faked on the signed sheet. Then, after around 1 hour, she apologized to me, but only to me, not in front of the whole class. From the very beginning, she should just pull me aside instead of embarrassing me in front of the whole call. If she had embarrassed me in front of the whole class, why didn't she apologize to me in front of the whole class. This is why some of my classmates never respect me because they still think I am a liar. Mrs. Rodriguez also did exactly the same thing as Mrs. Sibilio by slandering me and making my classmates hate me. It is another nightmare on my classroom side. SOME of my classmates are very rude and disrespectful. They fight & disrespect teachers, talk loudly and play music during class when teachers are teaching, talk over teachers, and turn my classroom completely to a club. Sometimes, I don't even get a quiet place even during exams. These disrespected students created such a horrible & toxic study environment for me and other good students. I was in college 20 years ago, and I never saw this kind of disrespectful students from my previous college. Also, these rude and disrespectful students will definitely be kicked out by security from my previous college, unfortunately, THIS SCHOOL DOESN'T EVEN HAVE A SECURITY. School leadership also doesn't even care at all because all they care about is MONEY, MONEY & MONEY. I am not the only victim, I heard some of the good students from my class had already failed out due to this horrible & toxic study environment. Unfortunately, this horrible & toxic study environment only negatively affects good students, not those rude & disrespectful students. The world is never fair. In the end, I just want to say that people's college life maybe only once in life and DON'T LET THIS SCHOOL TO RUIN YOUR...

One of the WORST institutions around, with barely any help from faculty. Going to Porter and Chester means you’ll be given the run around, studying 10 year old recycled material. THERE IS NO HELP trying to get started in your trade. When you do the initial walk through seeing what the school has to offer they’ll say things like “we’ll PLACE you in jobs to get started” well that’s a lie because once you’re past the grace period to quit without penalty they’ll start telling you it’s your responsibility. Mines for example is HVAC/R (heating, ventilation, Air Conditioning, Refrigeration). I was told there would be numerous job fairs held, in the year I was there, there were only TWO job fairs and none of the jobs really pertained to my trade. There was one residential heating company and that was the only company I seen there that related to HVAC/R but they had a company called CANINE (as in training dogs) which none of the trades they offer deal with that. They had a Forklift company (doing forklift repairs) also not a trade P&C offers but they needed to whip up some kind of job fair just to save face. The job I got from there is called Canteen Refreshments. They do small repairs on coffee and water equipment. P&C calls them a refrigeration company but if that was the work I was doing I’d be working on compressors, condensers, expansion valves, and evaporators as those are the four main components that make up the refrigeration/ac system. I work with absolutely none of that and then found out that my job (Canteen Refreshments) I could of landed that with my high school diploma. I call and call to get help from the career services people to only get constant voicemails. IF I WERE YOU SAVE YOUR MONEY BECAUSE THE ONLY THING THEY WILL DO WITHOUT MESSING UP IS TAKE YOUR MONEY!!! DONT WASTE A YEAR OF YOUR TIME AND MONEY MESSING WITH THIS JOKE OF A SCHOOL! $30,000 I’m paying out of pocket and they don’t even return phone calls or respond to emails! Honestly they don’t even...
