Unc'l Lunkers — Local services in Bridgton

We make a trip up to Maine (from NJ) every August to spend time at our uncle Bob's house on Moose Pond. Fishing is a huge part of our trip and thanks to Unc'l Lunkers, we are never in want of bait, tackle, or a good idea of what mood the fish have been in. The live bait is always--well--lively and the selection of lures are just right for the local fisheries. But what is best about going to the shop is talking with its owner and proprietor, Larry. You can't ask for a nicer or more knowledgeable guy. He can talk all day about fishing and will never pressure you to buy a thing. (In fact, he fixed one of my rod tips FOR FREE instead of trying to sell me a replacement. I bought one anyway and he gave me a great deal!) Visiting Unc'l Lunkers adds greatly to our vacation experience. Can't wait 'till...

We took a week long vacation here in maine this summer. We stayed of moose pond, and wanted to go fishing for some bass, perch, pickerel, etc. While driving around bridgton, we found uncl'lunkers and decided to stop in to buy some bait. We are beginner fishermen, so we had lots of questions to ask, all of which were welcomed and completely answered by larry, the owner. He showed use the right king of bait to use, how to use it, and also showed us how to tie a few different kinds of knots. All of his lessons were free of charge, and his always happy disposition encouraged us to come back again. Thanks to larry, we were successful in catching five lunkers that week, our biggest one being 16in long....

Great bait shop and great owner! I always spend more then I want to and get more than I need, but then it all pays off when on the water. The tips of what artificial to use is always helpful. I had an old pole that belonged to my deceased father that got damaged. I brought it to the shop and a few weeks later it looked as good as new. UL is a must stop when on vacation...
